I've only seen the first 15 episodes, but I cried when Nina died and when Edward was about to die.

I haven't seen the one before Brotherhood. I've only seen Brotherhood. x3 It's really good though ^u^
It's very sad. The anime, I think it's one of the best out there because the plot is so amazing, and the drama is fantastic. It fits together all so well perfectly. ^____^

The 2003 series I think has better character development, while Brotherhood, in my opinion, has a better plot. Even though the 2003 series has its own plot and stuff, I still think that if I hadn't watched 2003 first, I wouldn't like the characters as much :\
