I usually end up alternating between cutting and selling yews and buying/mining mith and coal and selling mith bars. I don't know how much of a profit it is (as I just started doing it) but the Miscellania thing seems fairly profitable if you have them mining coal.

Sorry for the sloe reply, I was freezing to death at Midnight release for AC3. D:

It's not so much that you get more logs, is for sure the nests. Sometimes you get lucky with the seeds and sometimes you don't, but the nests right now are a little over 5k each, so you at least get something if you lose with the seeds. :3
But when you get a magic seed, it's all worth it. :D

I didn't realize you got that much for nests. Definitely switching my kingdom around next time I'm online. That and I need to quest a bit more so I can get the extra helpers from the second portion of the quest.
