Signing Off: A Signature Fanclub - Come Join!

My siggy isn't actually complete yet (so much empty space, so many ideas!), but I need to know if the choice of fonts is alright. I use 1001fonts, because I can't find any place better (suggestions are welcome x3)
Also, how do you guys make the vertical bars and cut images so that one part of an image is one place, but the cut part is in the other?

Signature Copyright.

[I made a post about this in the CS tag on Tumblr, and I am going to make a post about this here.
What this is about is me typing out a small list of what you can and cannot call under copyright:

What you can call under copyright:


- Images you used if you have permission to use them (Aka the official stuff from x fandom / images you own copyright to). If those images are not from an official source still belong to the artist whom created them and you must have permission from the artist to use them.

- Images you created for that signature, that includes gif overlays, image boarders and otherwise.
What you cannot call under copyright:


- A specific layout or coding style. If someone wants to make a signature that is 306 x 700 and has a similar layout to my signatures, I can’t tell them to quit that out because they have the right to have that layout if they so choose to. If anything, I will applaud them for their creation and help them along with figuring out little issues and design enhancing advice.

- The use of a specific pattern of code digits. If they want to use specific codes to make a boarder, they can. It’s there for that persons resource and it is really no secret where people can get these from.

Please do not be the person who is copyrighting a layout. It’s like copyrighting lines for a colour in adoptable that you do not own. You own the colour style and the story and everything else you wish to add in referral to the adoptable, but you do not own the lineart. You don’t own code or layout of the signature, but you own the images that you used to create the signature.

If you have any problems in regards to signatures and the overall signature community, please PM me about it on Tumblr or CS. I will answer you the best I can and hope to clear things up so the signature community can get back onto its feet.

i think the choice of fonts you have used are lovely, although you could make the words overlap each other by saving them and using pixlr.

as for the image question, i haven't tried it before, but i'm pretty sure it goes like this.

you save an image, the whole thing. open up pixlr (or whatever you use) and cut it. however, save the cut image as a separate file, so it's not saved as the "base".
open up the base again in your program and cut it again, and save it separately. do this as many times you need.
once you've saved and have your cut images, upload them to whatever image hosting site you use.
"place" them where you want it in your signature.

if you want it to overlay other images, you'll need to use a program to do it.
for overlaying gifs, you may need to download and use gimp.

if you only make the font a little bigger
would complete the whole thing :3 i mean the quote font
