I feel a bit sad today, hah...
So I volunteer at a public library and am part of a "teen committee" where we discuss events and new materials to be added to the library. I'm the resident kpop fan in that committee (although I only bring it up whenever we're on the topic of new music to be purchased, oof) and had always shown interest in an teen event where kpop fans can just come and chat about kpop and share music, etc.
Well, that event was supposed to be today and I couldn't come, partially because I was busy, but also because I wouldn't be able to go because a parent (who I keep my like for kpop secret from) is around and I wouldn't be able to come up with an excuse to go. They were even going to have kpop merch giveaways (since kpop albums always come with additional stuff besides the actual music), so I missed the chance of potentially getting my first kpop merch. I wanted Twice photocards *sobs* But mostly I feel bad because I always showed interest, but ended up not going. Teen events usually don't have that high of a turnout rate in this library, so if an event doesn't get a lot of people coming, the library won't bring it back for a long time. It's sad because there really isn't anywhere at where I live where I can meet up with other kpop fans and talk. I feel like I've blown it.
On a lighter note, Wanna One is going to guest on Knowing Bros at some point, and the whole group's going! I'm hoping that some of the members who haven't gotten a lot of variety show exposure *cough* Daehwi, Guanlin *cough* can shine a bit there. They're also going to be on "I Can See Your Voice" (expect them to perform "Nayana" with whoever they pick) and three of the members (obligatory Daniel and Ong, but also Woojin yes, let's get it boy!!) are also going to appear on Radio Star, so that's also something for Wannables to look forward to.
