Does anyone know how to convince parents to get you a rat? I have mice, and I love them dearly...but I llllllllllluuuuuuuuuuurrrrrvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeee ratties <3

Look up rats on google images, print out adorable pictures and rat info pages and tac them up everywhere in your house.
As far as trying to convince 'em without actually talking to them about it goes...

Yeah. Or get an old mouse cage and stick pictures in that the pretend to talk and play with the rats. Outcomes may be different.
