I got a new plant today! It only says that it's in the mammillaria genus since I think the species name got cut off since it only says "2.50PT cacti desert gems mammillari". I think it might be mammillaria vetula, but I'm not entirely sure. The label says "Desert Gems are colored cacti. New growth will be in its natural white color", and I think that's why it's not white like any of the pictures. I've heard about people putting artificial colors and glitter and stuff on succulents, should I be concerned?

have you seen any signs of the season changing where you are? (trees dropping their leaves/new growth/etc)

A lot of snow and ice has melted away, but I don't see any green leaves. A tree across the street does still have its autumn leaves, for some reason. Hopefully I'll see some wildflowers or something growing outside soon!

Just planted some basil a few days ago!

i recently got some discounted tulips, i think since its coming to the end of
their season (plus they were a bit bashed up lmao) we ended up getting an
incredible deal and i just noticed yesterday that one of them has actually
grown a flowerhead! i'm so excited to see it because I honestly expected
to wait until next year before i saw them flower. A pleasant surprise indeed!

pretty awesome for 50 pence per pot!

also we got a tiny lil greenhouse recently and i'm so excited for all the seedlings
we've planted (my favourites amongst them being the lupins and bleeding hearts

that sounds great, i love basil but i dont think we have the correct weather
for it to properly thrive although maybe they'd do okay in a greenhouse haha

also i didnt realise that was what they were called but saguaro cacti are pretty, too!

Took my bird Zazu out while I did some potting today. Potted a new succulent, some chocolate mint and spearmint. Also my vegetable plot is all tilled and ready to go! It's pretty big but it's essentially for me and my grandma. I'm so excited to start filling it :>

I've been searching everywhere for the darn things.
I think this is some kind of fern, Its really soft, and feels like its covered in cotton candy,
I've had this one for two years or so! It's leaves curl.
