So I'm starting to write the post in which Acornstream and Bramblebush die, and I would like to submit what I've written for review. This is just the start of the section but it's all I wrote, so please don't comment on the "title." But comment on everything else. c: A teensy bit of backstory: Dustleaf is one of Acornstream's four kits and she, along with Crowcloud, are the medicine cats of Forestclan.Mourning and Burial wrote:It had been a peaceful morning when Acornstream and Bramblebush had succumbed to their infected injuries. Dustleaf had woken on a hunch and when she went to check on her patients, found that both were barely warm. Crowcloud found her sitting and swaying, mouth open in a silent yowl of pain. While medicine cats were supposed to focus on the larger picture, he understood just how hard the death of her father would be for he too, felt grief. He had known Acornstream for many seasons and he remembered the first few moons, how Acornstream had courted Duckpelt, when the two became mates and had their litter, and the rapid growth of the clan since then. It was hard to believe that the lively and paternal tom was gone. Just like that. Without even a goodbye.
"May you find peace in Starclan," Crowcloud murmured.

news, I'm a lil' nervous about the future
again but I'm hopeful things will work out.

@deimos
!! Thank you!! Your words mean a lot to me! I really loved how the leaders got their lives in the books too, it was interesting how different values had this distinct and physical feeling to them. I think my favorite bit had been the life of love (I think that was it? Or protection) which was abnormally fierce.
@simonpet
Ooh I like what you have so far! As terrible as it is I find it interesting how cats work through grief differently.
@kat
I’m in love with Echoclan’s latest post! I sense a conflict in the making and with kits at the center of it all it’s bound to be a wild ride! As for your archive, well, I basically gave up on formatting mine for CS so id be the wrong person to ask!
