so I meant to bring this up for nearly a week and haven't had the time as of yet.

regarding the Secret Santa issue
we did do one last year and while it seemed to be a popular idea there were a lot of people who didn't do their part whatsoever.
since there's no way to force anyone to do the art in which they promised, much of the staff (who would put on the event) are wary of doing so. It is the season of giving but you can do so without an organized event as well. Last year there were many people who wanted half or all of their viscets draw in a same image while they themselves did the bare minimum. Because while secret santa is a good idea in theory, it appeared to me (an outsider watching / seeing from both sides) that people were more concerned with receiving rather than giving. There were some great pieces, but then there were some with little effort or thought put into them.. and some that never did theirs at all. If a Secret Santa is put on again this year, the staff as a whole would have to go through and write down those who failed to deliver last year and bar them from entering this year. Or some form of penalty. And much of the staff are busy as we try to prepare for winter both in event here on CS and IRL.

again the idea of Secret Santa is great, but there are plenty of other secret santas going on across the site.
and, yes, the staff is aware that some of you might want to do the secret santa yourself, but we'd prefer you didn't unless we feel as though you are active, fair, and know how to run a thread. in which case you can pm me, and the staff will determine if you'd be a good candidate but at this junction we'd prefer not to do Secret Santa for numerous reasons.

that being said--
I had an idea that while it's not Secret Santa related it could be quite fun as a Christmas / Winter project.
A few years back when I was a bit more active on dA, I did a Christmas Collab, in which I did the background + my part (character) and others who signed up also did art that was then added all together.
it turned out like this - which was pretty cute in my opinion.
basically anyone who would participate would make a drawing of one (or more) or their viscets, in a holiday like theme. (ex.: snuggling, wearing scarves, mistletoe, decorating, etc). It'd need to be on a canvas bigger than 400x400 and saved as a .png with no background so I'd be able to add it. I'd coordinate the positioning so everything would line up best as it could.
Overall this could be a fun idea, and I know how to coordinate this - if you'd be interested comment as much on here, and include your opinions on it in general if you'd like. I'd love to hear em.

I really like this idea and would love to take part. I think this would go over far better than a secret santa for the reasons mentioned.
Maybe if we wanted we could get together with friends and do something together to send to you, if we wanted our viscets to be interacting with someone elses? That would be entirely on us and we would have to complete the picture before sending it to you, of course.

Razors and I co-own him, with Razors listed as the owner and I really can't thank her (and griff!) enough for doing this ♥ ;-;
I'm so happy
He is the IC child of Razors' Aki and griff's Sly. He's a farmer boy and loves helping his dad with buffalo herding, although he himself breeds scottish highland cattle. He loves nature and tries to learn as much as he can from his mother, being a druid too, just like her (although not with as much responsibility... which is a good thing because he tends to be rather carefree). He also learned some magic from the wiccan Noah (whom he met through his mother), but he still messes up quite alot of stuff (he managed to turn Noah into a cat once)
Other than carefree he is very friendly and social, most of the time. He loves to crack jokes and is fluent in irony and sarcasm... he rolls his eyes quite alot, has a very weird (but lovable) laugh and a thick accent. He loves mocking rednecks and the typical "farmer guy and cowboy" image. Besides farming and some attempts at magic he does stand up comedy (his favourites are "A Viscet comes into a bar..." jokes <.<) and flirting. He plays the guitar and likes country music, strangely though, his favourites are rather Punk Rock / Alternative Rock / Metal.
He is mostly seen to wear jeans, flanell and cowboy boots but he rocks most fashion. He is proud of his long, wavy hair and wears it in buns or pony tails... most of the time he braids it, though, especially when working on the farm. Besides his scottish highland cattle he has some chicken, sheep and a huge vegetable garden as well as some fruits like apples and grapes. Every weekend and on Wednesdays he spends some hours at the market, seeling meat, milk, dairy products, eggs, wool and harvesting from his fields.
(I told ya I already know every single bit bout him <.<)

anyway so!! i was thinking of doing another community gift, but i don't have the da points atm to pull it off--so i decided to open up some super cheap commissions to work them up little by little. hopefully i'll work up enough by christmas to pull it off!

so, i'm bringing back these little headshots, but since i'm better at drawing now they should be a bit higher in quality - even if a little.
since i want these to get done quickly and easily for me (aka less stress!!) i won't be shading them, but feel free to do so yourself if you'd prefer. just be sure to credit me!
