I finally finished that pokemon drawing of the blitzle.

Now that it's finished I'd rather you not redline, but I'd love a few critiques if there's anything that looks off. I'm really not sure how i feel about the lighting, so if you have any tips I'd be happy to hear them. x3
Also, I drew my first somewhat realistic human and it's not terrifying. Yay!
[click]
I'd rather not have any critques on this, only because I'm beyond sick of staring at it and by the end I gave up on proper anatomy. OTL
Thought I'd share, anyways.

---
And now for some critiques. There was a lot of art posted and not many people willing to comment, so I just went back and did as many as I could.
Remember, if you want critique, leave a couple in return. It's only fair. ^^
---

Mistywren; I'm loving all these dragon adoptables so far. x3
I can't really critique given that I've never read the books and they seem to have kind of odd anatomy, but it looks really nice. I really like the shape of the body. x3

Oddy Shaoed; Viking! I love the face, that dude is pretty terrifying.
The biggest thing here in the proportions. The head is very large compared to the rest of the body. You need to be careful with head sizes, especially when there's a big fluffy beard to distort things. If a guy's head is massive they will probably have very thick, muscled arms as well. Also, try to keep the line width about the same the whole way through. The lines get progressively thinner towards the bottom of the picture, and it sort of adds to the appearance of the head being too big.

Haddock: Oh my God that smile. xD
Given that it's fairly cartoony there's little to critque, but maybe make the top half of the shell come down farther? Just referencing off my own turtle, the bottom section is more or less flat. With the top section so high and small it almost makes the shell look a little uncomfortable.

August; First things first, wolves are actually pretty thin. They have a whole lot of muscle, but it's mostly lean muscle and so their legs have a very bouncy appearance.
I'll try and redline in a bit. x3

Marquee Moony; Aww those are adorable. I love your style, so chubby and floofy~
Nothing seems wrong with them, but can I make a suggestion? Maybe just try to draw with different angles and more species you're not familiar with. You're an amazing artist [so jealous of you~] but you draw a lot of things from the side and working with different perspectives helps you in creating more fun and interesting poses.

WBS; Those are really cute. I really like the first one.
I'll try and do a redline sometime tomorrow if that's okay, for some reason I can't quite put this critique into words. xD

AKA Raptor; Haha, I love all those arguing dragons. Characters are always such annoying little brats. xD

Coyox; ooh, a fight scene. I always have a lot of trouble drawing those, but you pulled off the poses really well.
The main problem I see is the body and the legs. You have your anatomy down pretty well and I'm impressed by the fact that you tried such a tough pose, but now all that's left is to perfect your proportions and all the annoying little points of wolf anatomy. The hips on both wolves are very thick and circular looking. Wolf hips tend to form more of a rounded rectangle type shape. If they're too wide or round it would be very hard to get a good range of motion in their legs.
Beyond that I'd just look at pictures of real wolves to see where the fur falls and how everything fits together. ^^

Aren; Those looks really nice. good job. x3
I'm not sure if you want critique so I'll just leave it for now, but feel free to contact me if I was wrong. ^^

Very nice, Wibeke! : D
I love the stance, and the overall composition looks very nice. The face also looks excellent with the eye change, as does the toe of the legs. :3
I think that the only thing I could really say would be to maybe work on making your brushstrokes smoother, and possibly more defined in spots, but that'll come with more paintings in the future. :3

Hrmm, gonna livestream again to get me to finish another commission bust--

Thank you. <3
I'm hoping to do more paintings like this in the future, so hopefully you're right. ^^

I'd love to watch but right now I'm trying to convince myself to get to bed. xP

wibeke, oh, how I envy your hoofer drawing skills, you're little pokemon is so lovely. <3 I love the pose and movement, and I really like how asymmetric you placed the legs. The lightning looks great to me, it's a nice touch and adds somethhing extra. I would have loved to see the kind of sharp highlights things get in the light of lightning though, with lots of contrasts and deep shadows^^. I'm impressed by your people drawing skills too, he looks pretty neat^^.

Marmoset, I've redlined it for you, but please keep in mind that I don't draw horses so I might have gotten everything wrong. I googled images of sitting horses and there was two major things I found a little off in your drawing. Mainly, the body should be a little more barrel shaped, and rounded. Second, sitting horses rest much of their weight on their butt rather than sit on their heels that dogs do, you can see it in most photos of sitting horses, the butt is in the ground and the feet are mainly used for balance. Another thing you should watch out for is the placement of the knee, the hind leg of your horse appears to have two kneecaps. The leg should be pretty much straight from the knee to the heel, so don't make a lump on the leg there^^. Other than that it's really nice and it's a unusual pose that's tricky to draw.
