Yep, it just gives you random colors, it doesn't affect genes in any way.

I'm willing to trade her for a common breed with the same genes and similar colours since I need to change her into a Wildclaw and I'd rather trade her with somebody else so that they can have a rare breed and I can change their common breed. ;3 I also need the cooldown to be the same or less than her.

I know. ^^; It's because I've been using that terminology with my little sister all day. But I think people knew what I meant, so it's not that much of a bother, is it? XD
