Hey everyone, I forgot to post in here after I posted on the main page. If you haven't seen it yet, please do go check out the notice I put. With that said, I am going to assume you have already read that main page from here onwards.

Howdy all! One of your new mods here, I got a little announcement: if anyone has any unfinished breedings, ie ones that were accepted but not completed, then please send serge or I a message (or contact us on discord!)
We're going to still honor breedings that were accepted but unfinished, but we don't really know who had what breedings so if you know of one let us know ^^ We're also going to be adding a little something special for the patience as well, as I know some of them have been sitting for a few months!

all of the buttermilks in the gladiola herd are located here!

In what ways are your Buttermilks similar (design/concept/personality) and what ways are they different?
my buttermilks are all very different! some of their only similarities are their loyalty to the herd (and even then, there's a few who wouldn't be opposed to moving) and their natural coloring. personality wise, many of my buttermilks are practically opposites, but i do have a soft spot for sensitive heifers, so quite a few of my babes are submissive and just follow iratze.

Do any of your Buttermilks have any companions of their own? Perhaps another Buttermilk or some other animal they adore?
yes, actually! iratze has a kitty companion, eloise, who hates all of the other buttermilks. gazania has a chicken companion, toast!

Where do your Buttermilks live, and who do the live with? Do they get along with everyone there?
i haven't worked out a specific location yet, but they live in a forest-y area in a herd called the gladiola herd! most of the herd members at least tolerate each other, as they keep close quarters and really have no choice but to be comfortable around the others. there are a few buttermilks that don't get along well though! gazania in particular is rather strong-headed and doesn't get along well with pandora (who is very frightened of him), autumn (who he just finds lazy and selfish), and reese (who he is bitter towards for his youth and high ranking).

absolutely! i have quite a few art pieces of my babes.

my favorite designs are naturally colored buttermilsk since that's what all the members of the gladiola herd have! i have a soft spot for really natural looking cows (like betsy)! i think this color palette has a lot of potential, as do these two!

What was your favorite thing about the adopts when they were active?
seeing what other people were doing with their buttermilks and seeing all the cute unique cow designs! i'd love to focus more on relationships this time around though, especially if the nursery has open slots more open <3

If you could change one thing about the species, be it rules or otherwise, what would it be?
i'd love to see fxf or mxm breedings, but i understand if the buttermilk staff would rather keep them closer to irl cows! a special item that allows same-sex breeding could be pretty cool though c:
or, at least maybe make bulls a little more common. i like the rarity of bulls, but when combined with the opposite sex breeding restriction, the breeding pool becomes rather slim.
ooh ooh and maybe an hm system that can get you semi-customs or milk bottles or something?

What drove you to adopt a Buttermilk and become active in the community? What advice would you give to someone who was looking to become active again, now that Buttermilks have a new owner?
i can't remember at this point how i joined! i think i just saw them and thought they were cute. i'd give the advice i always do to people looking to get into adoptable species: dive right in! being active in fanclubs, discord chats, etc. and watching and entering for adopts is the best way to get yourself acquainted with the community and get your first adopt!

Adeline and her calf Nessi (Nesquic)

In what ways are your Buttermilks similar (design/concept/personality) and what ways are they different?
Well, they are pretty similar in design since they are related but differently in personality. Adeline is quiet and content, doesn't speak much unless she feels the need, and Nessi is a fireball who's great at accidentally always breaking stuff.
Adeline struggles with self image while her daughter could careless how she's view.

Do any of your Buttermilks have any companions of their own? Perhaps another Buttermilk or some other animal they adore?
Adeline doesn't have a confirmed companion, but from time to time one of the barn cats accompany her in the fields while she grazes. Nessi's companion is a mischievous old goose who helps Nessi prank the other animals on the farm.

Where do your Buttermilks live, and who do the live with? Do they get along with everyone there?
They live on a farm with many other farm animals. A goose, chickens, horses, a couple sheep, barn cats and 3 dogs. Adeline gets along with all the farm animals, mostly because she is kindhearted and straight up the most passive creature on the farm. Nessi's gets along with a few, mostly because the rest are annoyed by her rambunctious personality/behavior.

What are your Buttermilks favorite activity? Least favorite?
Adeline's favorite activity is grazing, least favorite would be doing any hard labor.
Nessi's favorite activity is running, least favorite would be sitting still.

Do you like writin stories or more in depth histories about your Buttermilks? If you have more than one, is there one in particular you write more about than the others?
I'd like to write stories but I'm never consistent when it comes to writing ;;"

I really like natural brown cow color/designs. Just beautiful brown cows.

I loved that they were different, you don't see too many cow adopts, mostly canine, feline, equine, but never a beautiful bovine.

I can't think of anything I would change atm.

What drove me was that I reallly wanted a cow character because I freaking love cows but I didn't just want to draw up a cow OC and be done, I wanted to be apart of a community as well.

Aw man, I love seeing everyones answers to the questions! Keep in mind everyone else can ask questions too, so feel free to ask everyone else some questions as well!

I also would be curious in seeing if any of you are interested in some forum games, Buttermilk style- maybe a 'draw the buttermilk above you' or 'steal the buttermilk above you'? Let me know, I'd be glad to set something up if people are interested!

@Sillbob101 - same! we're gonna be doing a complete reboot, along with some fancy new features I really think everyone is going to love! <3 your two buttermilks are honestly adorable, not gonna lie when I was doing the nursery archive I saw your babe and honestly really liked the colors off of them, definitely an absolute cutie! I love the little bit of contrast with their personality too- I lowkey relate to Nessi, I know I break stuff all the time c'x
