I love how Doduo can learn fly but Charizard and Dragonite can't (at least in Red/Blue.)

Dragonite makes sense to me not learning fly, its wings are so small its one of my main complaints that it can fly, how it can fly with someone on its back with those microscopic wings just WHAT IS GOING ON!!! seriously its like the bumblebee pokemon, but the fact its a dragon annoys me tenfold.

Dragonair can fly in the anima i saw it do so, but not in the game, witch also make sense to me, i think some pokemon that can not learn fly but should, like butterfree, i see that its becuse though they can fly they can not support a human's waight. How Pidgey and zuebat can where charazard who is bigger can not in red and blue i do not get though, surely charazard has stronger wings then those two, but who iam I to judge, maybe becuse they start off being able to fly in there first stage when charazard's pre-evolutions can not is why they can learn fly, they have been flying since they where born/hatched so there wing mussles are stronger?

True, but the thing is that most of Dragonite's pokedex entries talk about flying and even say that Dragonite can "circle the globe in just 16 hours." So I agree that it doesn't make a lot of sense that Dragonite's wings actually work well, but it makes even less sense that it wouldn't be able to learn fly when according to the pokedex, it's an incredibly good flyer somehow. xD

Dragonite my theory is that it is light like balloon and thats why it can fly xd. However it would be too heavy with a human on its back to fly xd thus it cannot normally learn fly.

Think of it as yes a human could ride but no it couldn't get off the ground with one on its back.

Talking about pokedex entries:
"Garchomp, the Mach Pokémon. When it folds up its body and spreads its wings, it can fly like a jet plane at the speed of sound."
So Dragonite can, but Garchomp can't learn fly...

the delibird ones adorable, the tropiase is confusing the golurk is true(its how it flys in the movie) and hawklachan i feel can only glide, ive seen it fly in the anima it just jumps and glides it never flaps its wings, it should not be able to fly, if they added glide though it should learn that. i just dont get stuff, like how can nitendo forget about Elgyem to such a degree that they didnt replace zen headbutt with it when they changed it from steel wing with the tms, i found a video about it but look here

I can see Drifblim flying since it's a ghost and based on a hot-air balloon. Though it should more float instead of fly and it would need a basket to transport the trainer XD

Delibird looks like a penguin, like Empoleon, but it's also designed after Santa so.

Since Golurk is a ghost pokemon it could also kinda float, but the gif on the site looks awesome^^ - and I read that it really does that in a pokemon movie.

Tropius rather glides, but rotating looks also funny. Though I would say it is way to heavy to fly with leaves, but I actually find it weirder that it grows bananas...

Hawlucha has all what a bird needs, but considering it's based on a wrestler the gif is pretty accurate XD

garchomp wings what wings i thought those where fins XD

points to the fact that not only does garchomp look like it can swim it doesn't even remotely look like it has wings or can fly XD pokemon really needs to redifine what they call wings. cause those more like fins not wings XD
