i dont think i did a very good job at overwintering my wisteria, but on the plus side, all of my herbs are starting to come back! next spring i will clip them back again and give them some fertilizer and i can start using them in my food again ;w;

@tempe
i hope your wisteria will recover well, it's so sad
when our plants get ill!

but i'm glad your herbs are doing good - which
herbs do you keep? :3
im a bit worried about my pitcher plant, i put
it into a coldframe to overwinter it but it has
been so mild that i'm not sure if it's gone into
dormancy yet, i hope that it's ok!!

if anyone posted anything they want an answer
to or that they just think got missed, feel free
to post again or quote it! :3

Does anybody know how to prevent that fuzzy, white fungus that appears when you water plants? :c

White sooty moldid also watch for insects that can cause this

on a seperate note i cant stop getting venus flytraps and succulents
i got a giftcard and tools for succulents so so many plants now
i made a couple rock dish gardens for my echeverias
would recommend as it drains well and protects from fungus:)

I would suggest watering plants in the early morning so they have time to dry off before they get to grow mold by being wet at night.
Also try using well-draining soil! Good luck!!

I got a new plant today! It only says that it's in the mammillaria genus since I think the species name got cut off since it only says "2.50PT cacti desert gems mammillari". I think it might be mammillaria vetula, but I'm not entirely sure. The label says "Desert Gems are colored cacti. New growth will be in its natural white color", and I think that's why it's not white like any of the pictures. I've heard about people putting artificial colors and glitter and stuff on succulents, should I be concerned?have you seen any signs of the season changing where you are? (trees dropping their leaves/new growth/etc)
A lot of snow and ice has melted away, but I don't see any green leaves. A tree across the street does still have its autumn leaves, for some reason. Hopefully I'll see some wildflowers or something growing outside soon!

hello

Very concerned. A plant gets photosyntisis (sun nutrients) through its skin.
Paint or glitter stops this and the plant dies in a couple days.
Paint contains chemicals that are nerely impossible to get off a burn the little plant as well:(
I also like to warn you about fake flowers that get glued to cactus.
Removal of these fake flowers rips the cactus skin and makes em more prone to fungus.
So keep an eye out and avoid the scams that make things look “pretty”

✿@Pixelated_Prophecies
it does look like it has been painted unfortunately, i hope that it pulls through though!! ♥️
some brands that sell dyed cacti actually use non-toxic dye which means they will probably
be fine though!! :3c
i know it's been a while since you posted but i hope all of the spring plants come up soon
if they haven't already haha! it always cheers me up to see my garden green up
@catskitten
i love the lil dividers you used, they're really cute! :3
@tempe
oh no, that's awful -- i really hope it does pull through; wisteria is one of my favourite plants
so i think i feel especially bad for you
i've been really lucky with plants pulling through the winter, my pitcher plant is doing so well
and im also super excited to see the spring time plants <3 i've already seen snowdrops carpeting
everything, and daffodils are beginning to spring up, can't wait to see their yellow heads! :3
