I wasnt blaming horsy for anything. I know that she doesnt have much time, and if she wants to move to dA, she is more then welcome to do so, its a good place for her art to be promoted. However, and it is my personal opinion only, dA isnt the place for the equids. I know dA for a long time, with all the goods and bads. And it is not necessary that equids wont fit there because they arent cool enough (because they are totally awesome), but rather the fact that dA is full of created breeds and species. And people stopped getting interested in them and rather saying ''bleh, another new species''. Me not enjoying them moving there is not because I wouldnt want them active there, its because I am afraid that they will die as most of the species there. They were so loved here, why risk this move? A move that its nonetheless complicated and that affected us all in a way or another. Weather we chose to follow on dA, weather we chose not to, it still affected us.
I truly wish equids will have success there, they are very dear to me even if im not an artist anymore and i dont want them to die . But if they wont die there...theres a small possibility that they will die here. no more adopts or breedings here, while there were many that still wanted and hoped for their first equid that may not have the possibility to move to dA. So their hope for joining the species will die out.

This made me wonder what happens if only one of our equid's parents is moving to da, then what? Will our equid just have one parent? Or is there more to it or just what?

I remember when I found out. xD I came online to check my bookmarks that first time, seen that the main thread said "Closed" in the title, and in that half a second it took me to dive for the page, I had a very, very bad feeling. Because the first thing I thought was that the whole thing was shutting down.

It made finding out about the move less intimidating for me, since I was still picking myself up from what could have been The Great WME Travesty of 2013. xD I have to say that I still wasn't completely unruffled about it, since my main internet home is CS, but anything was better than the alternative... o_o "cringe"

I have all kinds of breedings lined up for my babies,
plus I want to try for a certain readopt equid when that gets underway,
so I have no intentions of aborting my "Pre-DA" plans just yet. >:3

If it is a equid from CS then you only include the parents if they are registered on deviantart.

This should have explained everything, guys. If neither of your Equid's parents register on DA, then it will appear as if the foal is a foundation (with no parents). If one of the parents registers, then you put that parent in the foal's lineage, and blot out the other one as if it were an "unknown" stallion or mare. This is quite obvious (no offense) but all these questions were not necessary since it can be explained in that line I just quoted from Horsy. It's simple: only include the parents if they are registered on deviantart. This is for lineage reasons for future foals on DA so that there won't be any site-switching. And if you are worried about FINDING the parents on DA, just PM the owner of the said parent equid and ask them if they will be moving or have moved and if so could they please send you a link to the page? Problem solved. Smileyface.

Once the issue of equids is finally sorted I will leave CS. Since equids were the only thing I logged on for. I don't particularly like CS.

Equids will stay in limbo, but please know they ARE going to DA OR being deleted. They will never continue here. AT ALL. And no I will not sell them or give them away. I will give those who got custom equids their equids, but it will still be through DA.

I respect whatever decisions you decide to make, horsy. I love my Equids, but they are your species you have the right to do what you feel is right. I support the move to dA. Your get new adopters there and plenty of more people to add to the equid community.

Rally there arnt enought people not moving to really say that won't b any support and once they gt up and running you will have a even bigger support system. Thn we can be a big happy furry family

Horsy I respect whatever decision you make. I support the move to DV. It will be a new and exciting adventure for the species. I feel that on DeviantArt there is a lot more room to grow than there is on CS. Yes there may be troubles along the way, but I'll stick with you. If there's one thing that I have learned its to never give up. If I may, when I was in middle school I was in choir. The director didnt like me very much. Her reasons I don't know. I never got anywhere in that program. Now that I'm in high school with a new director and program I'm getting places. I've made the show choir in my program and I'm very happy. The point is stick with it and you'll get places.
