I have two, actually~! :D Both are based off of Portal characters, GLaDOS and Chell respectively. X3 Fawkes is my fursona, and SHaDOS is a name that I used to commonly identify myself as online.

I never saw a point in getting tryout art if there wasn't a specific art part of the form. 'Cuz if ya lose, there's nothing to do with it. Most likely I'd give it to the winner so the original artist' work didn't go to waste.

Same, same. Especially since you can't use it if you lose, and keeping it to yourself when you have no rights to the character is kinda silly and a bit rude to the winner, so I usually don't order tryout art. I did once, but didn't even end up using it on my form because I preferred my written portion better ( luckily, I won, but I offered it to the winner regardless! ) ;w;

i usually only order tryout art if its part of the form/requirements or it goes along with the theme or idea.
plus i've never paid much for tryout art. i usually only spend from 0-30 points per piece usually. Especially since getting points is really hard for me xD i usually try and draw some stuff myself or edit some bases or something.

but if i know the forms will be judged mainly on coding or text then i don't usually focus on getting art unless im content with what i have typed up
