Yes he is rather chubby.
He's probably the biggest rat I've ever seen!
I think he's around 8in. long without the tail.

you obviously haven't met my two boys Romulus and Remus. They are BIG. They are my lazy boys. the only way to get them to play or exercise is by placing them at one end of the room, and placing yourself at the other. they'll run to me.

any tips on cutting their nails?

I think I've seen rabbit or ferret nail clippers in pet stores, but I don't know if that would work. Good luck trying to get them to cooperate even if you do find something though.

i get my arms molested and torn up whenever I bathe them (like, once every two to three months, depending on how dirty they are) or clip their nails...it's painful...

I have a VeriBerk, Berkshire, an Over marked Berkshire, lots of hoods, and one Sadleback boy.
I used to have two caps, one passed, and I had to rehome the other.

i do, but then they ignore it when i start clipping...they don't bite, though. It's the sqirming i am having trouble with

shes getting skinny despite her being a little pig, and shes losing fur ever so slowly with her age. ;-;
