But really, I love those two.

I think Eleven is actually a huge Amy/Rory shipper. X3 Just look at how he was in The Wedding of River Song when Amy didn't remember what Rory looked like and didn't realize that 'Captain Williams' was him. Eleven was outright playing matchmaker with those two and trying to bring them together. In the beginning of Eleven's series he was competing with Rory for Amy's attention quite a bit, but I think it was more 'best friend vs. boyfriend' than any romantic interest on the Doctor's part. He certainly seemed horrified when Amy did try to put the moves on him, and I think he still thinks of Amy as seven years old. In 'Let's Kill Hitler', it was the projection of Young Amy that comforted and encouraged the Doctor when he was dying, not adult Amy - adult Amy never showed up in the projections, as I recall.

I know- It was more hilarious than anything else when Amy decided to seduce him XD First he was oblivious, then he freaked out, and then got pinned and did his "I don't really know what I'm doing in this situation" arms. So I'd have to agree- he likes Amy, but not in a romantic way. More like a big brother/best friend way. And maybe he'd prefer to keep track of just one human while on his travels- which is why he'd prefer to leave Rory safely at home. I mean, companions are like little kids sometimes: They need to be watched constantly, or they're getting into trouble.
That's kinda what I like about Eleven- the socially awkward factor that I never saw in Ten or Nine- maybe I just didn't see enough of them, I dunno. He never even kissed Idris, either, unless you count her bitings before he knew who she was.

There's actually a scene that was cut out of The Hungry Earth where Eleven talks about liking Rory and shipping him and Amy. Here it is, rather clunkily cut out of Confidential :B Other than that I agree with Atwood completely...I never saw Eleven and Rory's competing as anything to do with romanticness between the Doctor and Amy.

But then again I do not ship anyone with the Doctor besides the TARDIS. Not really.

Same here :3 Loved TARDIS in human form- she was mildly crazy, that may be due to the body she was in, but somehow someone too sane just wouldn't be the TARDIS. Very possessive of her Doctor, too.

I'm still sad over Tennant leaving. I haven't watched any of the new stuff yet with Matt. And I'm not really interested in doing so either... perhaps when the next guy comes I'll pick it back up... I've seen some bits and pieces and when I look at Matt I'm still a little... 'you're not the doctor'... might come some day... but I just looooved Christopher Eccleston, I adored David Tennant and his companions, and what I've seen from the new... it just doesn't... convince me to watch it. I like River song from Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead, but even she can't convince me to watch new stuff >< Matt just isn't my kind of Doctor... guess it happens. xD

David... his intense look could make me sob, he played in on my emotions so well and I just... got dragged into the episodes every time. I don't have that with Matt... at all... 's a pity. But like I said, when the new Doctor comes I might watch the Matt stuff just cause I don't wanna miss anything. But so far... nothing's made me wanna watch. Doc Who kinda ended for me when Russel T. and Tennant stopped. I actually saw those episodes as a goodbye and cried and felt bad for Dave, and then the whole... saying goodbye to all his former companions. It felt like a goodbye... and I haven't yet felt like saying Hello to the new. :\

Same with me. It wasn't that I didn't like Ten, or Nine, for that matter, I just like Eleven more! I'll be very upset when he finally has to regenerate. ((I bet Twelve won't be able to pull off a fez.))
