I know about that, but Christmas books are pretty weird to show.

Anyone else a fan of Ray Bradbury? He is one of my favourite authours!

@Hippolyta
I just finished Fahrenheit 451. It was really good! It made me think a lot. We also read a short story of his in class, called There Will Come Soft Rains.
Actually, I read Fahrenheit 451 because I liked his short story we read in school.

@Hippolyta & Electra Heart, I just finished Fahrenheit 451 recently, as well! I positively adored it; it really got me thinking. (I read one of his short stories eons ago in the fifth grade -I believe it was called The Veldt, or something of that nature.) I shall have to look up 'There Will Come Soft Rains' now, it seems. :p

On a slightly-similar note, has anyone here read 1984, or A Brave New World? I've recently started both of them, and I'm wondering how they were received by others?

Nickname (if any): There's not really a cool way to shorten that...
Top Ten Favorite Books: Dude. There is no way I could narrow that list to 10. I don't do favoritism, and the list changes every second.
Average amount of time it takes you to finish a book: Hmm... It depends how big and how busy I am. With a 300 page book, nonstop reading, maybe an hour and a half? All I know is that I took over my dad's library card because they wouldn't let me check out all the books I wanted on just mine.
How many of the above symptoms you regularly experience: All of them! I'be been to the school counselor's office about seven times for spontaneous sobbing, screaming, and shrieking with joy. I also got sent once for throwing my book at a guy's head who said reading was stupid...

{ @7: I did read Brave New World, and wanted to also read 1984 to compare, 'cause, you know. but I never got around to it :c
I thought the story was excellent and I enjoyed the disconcerting ending, although it's inappropriate for this site. Some people might be bothered by the plain wrongness of the whole shebang. Personally I think it's a horrible world to live in but applaud the author's imagination.

Have you read Ishmael: Journey of the Mind and Spirit? I found it extremely thought-provoking c:

...but I did read Animal Farm.

I've read his short stories All of Summer in a Day, Dark They Were and Golden-eyed, The Garbage Collector (not sure on the name) and another that I don't know the name of, but it was about a serial killer who follows a girl home and she's all scared and stuff Spoiler Alert?and when she makes it home, she finds out that the killers right behind her in her house
1984 I've read and I ADORED the book, but I also thought it was the most terrifying book that I've ever read. It was very creepy. A great book though. If you like that, you might also like Planet of the Apes by Pierre Boulle. It's sort of along the same lines.

I like the sound of that book alot, but have never heard of it. If you could remember the name ( or if any on else knows the name?) I'll order it on amazon.

It's not a full book, just a short story, but I did find the title. It's called "While the Whole Town's Sleeping".

Reading Heroes of Olympus. I ❤ Piper. She's my favorite so far. I just started book 2. My friend says Hazel's pretty cool too. T

@River
My favorite characters are Frank and Leo. I love Hazel, too.
Am I the only one who finds Jason a tab bit boring? I dunno why, but he's just a bit too 'perfect' in my opinion.
