Is Waste It On Me completely in English?
I’m not sure how i feel about it. It sounds beautiful, but I feel like it was completely forced if it is in English. They shouldn’t westernize themselves just to impress us.

There’s 3 days showing Burn The Stage at the theater 5 minutes away from me! I feel so lucky since there’s a whole day with no seats taken still. I don’t know who to go with though ahah I’m shy and i’m super worried there will be some crazy armies there. I get embarrassed easily and I don’t wanna see people there booing for certain members or something.

Any advice? I’m super nervous.

OH MY GOD! I just listened to Waste It On Me. It's all in English and it's so good, the other members don't really sing other than Jimin, Jungkook, and RM but it's still good.

I didn't listen to the song, but isn't this just a RM and Jungkook feature on a Steve Aoki track?

I'm not sure I understand the "BTS westernizing themselves because they sang a song in complete English" sentiment some ARMYs may have. It's a Steve Aoki song, and they're just featuring. They may have just decided to record it all in English just for the overall cohesion since other songs from Aoki are in English. I find it all pretty mutualistic-- Steve Aoki helped with BTS's Korean tracks, BTS features in one of his (completely in English) tracks.

ya same, i think that since its just one song in english (that theyre just featuring on), its not really westernizing, esp bc theyve collaborated w/ aoki before. also i think the reason it says 'bts' despite featuring just 3 of them, might be for marketing(?) general western audiences will recognize 'bts' before they recognize 'rm, jungkook, and jimin', i think

I definitely agree — I really enjoyed hearing them sing in english, and to me it feels like a real gift to have a song featuring bts in my native language since that doesn't happen very often. we also have to realize that this isn't going to change bts' music, only add to it. this was not a bts song featuring steve aoki, this is a steve aoki song featuring bts. there is a very big difference.

I also loved the choice of rm and jungkook for this song. I saw a lot of people in youtube comments complaining about it only featuring two members out of seven, but if you think about it,,,,,rm and jungkook are literally perfect for this song. rm actually speaks english while jungkook has made a good number of song covers in english, taking the time to learn the lyrics even if he isn't fluent. the song wasn't in korean so it was a good move on steve aoki's part to choose the members that he felt would perform the best under these circumstances. it isn't unusual for the music industry to do this.

anyways, I'm not sure why some people think that jimin was included in this song? I listened to the background vocals and it's just jungkook singing in those parts. his voice might sound a bit like jimin's, but it's not jimin's.

sorry to butt into the conversation , but from what I know ,
waste it on me does feature jimin . he is in the background of one of jungkook's notes ,
and I'm pretty sure it's not jungkook's voice that just sounds like jimin . sorry if I sounded
rude , I didn't know how else to put it ! hope to make friends on here . (:
