Either like khä-ra or care-a. Usually the first.

The 'ä' is pronounced like the 'a' in 'as'

I pronounce Chara as "chair-ah". Maybe I'm subconsciously influenced by the chair Toriel owns named Chairiel. It's the only thing in her house that's officially named (from what I remember), and I found it ironic that the name looked like a portmanteau of Chara and Asriel. Although it took me a while to realize it was just Chair + Toriel... much easier than I'd assumed! XD
