I too got a new baby yesterday that I've yet to show off so here he is!

His name's Cain Arsen ^^ He's a big sweetheart towards his family and basically everything else in Shangri-La, which is interesting considering his lineage xD He's also incredibly loyal, not too dissimilar to his Kyrat counterpart Kalinag, who he has it out for thanks to Kalinag's ability to access Shangri-La and his quest to take down Cain's fathers.
Problem is that unlike Kali, Cain is unable to traverse between their worlds, and is thus stuck in Shangri-La.


How long do you take to fully develop a Makoatl to your liking?
It really depends. Some like Kali and Cain I develop fast, either having the idea already or just having a lot of fun with it. Others like Anima take longer because although I have an idea, it feels too cliche.

How do you determine your Makoatl's career path, likes and dislikes?
Usually through family ties. Even my adopted babies like Corvo end up being influenced by their adopted family.

Do your Makoatls have a dark history or did they have a nice, easy-going one? {CS rules apply if you go into detail! QAQ}
Some have a really dark history //looks at The Archivist// other's not so much, but none have an easy going history. I'm not nice with my characters xD

If your Makoatls have a dark history to do find it easier to connect with them? Are you more passionate about them?
Yup. I feel it makes them more realistic. No one has a perfect life.
Corvo's history definitely made me connect with him, because now I would never let him go cause it feels like I'd be letting him down xD

Depends, sometimes it takes me a few days, sometimes even months

Idk, they just come to me sometimes. I imagine how life would be like for them and what they would be most likely to do given their personalities.

Some, like The Doctor, have a P DARK past, but some others have pretty nice and easy lives

Not always. Some makos I really love, like Noah, have a pretty nice-ish past and yet I still love him w/ all me heart.

Tho I do like making my makos suffer heheheheheh

I forgot to introduce my newest mako I bought a few days ago, Persephone!

I decided to make their gender male. He's the Prince of the Underworld, though he doesn't live at home. He has a brother, Hades (owned by Graham), but they were separated at birth. Seph has minor power to make flowers bloom and wilt. He wandered around for a while before settling down and working in Sion's flower shop.
Though he's a very quiet guy and a bit arrogant. He doesn't always understand the ways of regular folk.

I've been thinking about mating him to one of my own makos, but before I do I'd like to take offers from other users. I'm so sorry if you message me and I don't message back right away. Sometimes it takes me a while to compose a reply. ^^"

Forever, I'm never happy with my development no matter what and it sucks
How do you determine your Makoatl's career path, likes and dislikes?
Just how I see them and once I get a little bit done on them, It normally comes before anything else so I know what the character does and likes or doesn't like

Dang I need to name this girl. Her mum is Dillan, who is based of Croconaw, and her dad is Tiernan, my irish surfer and general pest. So if anyone could help me find a water based name I would be rather pleased

@Kestral;; just wanted to post to suggest the name Arethusa! My favorite water name. <3 It means "water bearer", and reminds me of Aquarius, which your new baby would be, if you have her birthday as the day she was created. ^^

This is Vero!

He comes off as a pretty serious person, learning well from his mom's talent of being able to play up a certain mood or attitude, but Vero's inexperienced facade is MUCH easier to crack. Underneath you will find he's actually quite childish in that he gets excited about things he likes, but then always ends up moving onto something new a week later, and then two years later he's back to the first thing again. Rinse and repeat. Probably because he's still pretty young, but it's more that he just gets excited easily, and his dad will happily listen to him about whatever it is the kid is craving or crazing over. Heck, Cain is such a spoiler he's probably the one who gives it to Vero in the first place. Hobby wise, Vero is into ANYTHING. He loves to try new things. TV shows? Games ( especially RPGS )? Board games? Art projects? Card games? Books? You name it, Vero has enjoyed something from every genre, he just can't really stick to one to find his 'niche', though he's probably gone back to ridiculously obscure RPGs the most ( looking at you, Sands of Destruction and Suikoden Tierkreis-- ). He's one of those kids who has no idea about his future, bouncing every good idea he gets off of his dad, and occasionally his mom, though she's the one who usually shoots them down with words of wisdom ( from her long life and experience ) about why it's a BAD idea. Cain pretty much things anything is a good idea. Vero gets a lot of mixed signals from his parents, honestly which is PROBABLY why he's so dang indecisive.

How long do you take to fully develop a Makoatl to your liking?
Depends on the Mako! My customs I know what I'm getting into from the start, though there have been twists and turns I usually have a pretty solid plan in to how to adapt them as a mako. But for my other makos I never really stop? I get new ideas a lot and things sort of happen, such as Spatha marrying Lussuria and being rebel child ( tm ) because he didn't get enough attention and Squalo favored Reial and now his dad is just in total disapproval of this wedding--

Not at all! Though I do have a lot more grey area morality or just leaning on the 'dark' sort of makos, which is one of the reasons I'm excited for a custom I bought because they will be a genuinely kind and good person, to contrast with my ragtag group. I do tend to prefer there to be conflict in my makos backstory, because conflict makes character! So even my kind ones have had hard times ( though I think Airone and his kids have gotten off the most scott-free of any of them-- )

So I didn't win my MYO entries but it's okay because I bought them! (I totally went into it with cash saved just in case lol) At first I only made one design but then I had inspiration and this boy happened.

Meet Konpeito!
He's a candy maker, named for Japanese sugar star candies, and based on Soot Sprites from Ghibli films! He's sweet and energetic, and easily excited like a kid, but also gentle and the kind of guy who wants to take care of everyone. I don't know if anyone would be interested a roleplay?

I'll show off my other mako later. I want to draw him first when my new pen nibs come in. ^^
