I don't. I think it's just a cheap excuse to get more art. I understand for two forms or all the canines but not every animal

How does being a shapeshifter get you more art XD

I figure, if someone wants a character that can shapeshift, why not let them have it XD nothing wrong with it, that's just how some characters work^^

This isn't very relevant, and it's against the rules to ask for art anyway (you're not straight up asking per se but hey)

Having a shape shifter that can change to every form will get you more line art colorins or artist that only do one speices

I don't think it's that big a deal. I've gotten art of non-shifter characters as bunnies/squids/etc. They don't have to be a shapeshifter to get art of as another species, and if they are a shapeshifter it doesn't mean that person just wants more art.

I'm a fan of those that have a few forms, like for example one of my oldest fursona's had only a few, she could be a winged giant dragon, a saber toothed cat, a saint bernard, a raven, and a mouse. vuv'
I'm not a big fan of one that turns into everything, just seems like an overall power play of some sort. Just my opinion, not against it because I do enjoy thinking what my character might look like as another animal. c;

I see where your coming from though, personally I think its the way the artist shows the character, for example my fursona only changed when she was very angry, or she was getting revenge. Some artists I know do that to get art, but these days luckily a lot of them don't. ^>^

And don't think I posted this, I got this a bit ago, but I got really cute art of Ghost from my best friend Franky. ^>^
