When I first read that I thought you meant Uther to go and kill Merlin before Arthur could get the flower and I was like, why would you say that?
Then I realised, you meant that Uther could of killed Merlin by smashing the flower.

Because I read versions of the legends when I was in intermediate school, because I was the wierd loner kid who just ended up constantly hanging out in the school's library towards the end of my time there.
I knew that morgana was gonna go evil
I knew that arthur and gwen would get together
I knew that lancelot and gwen would also get together and that would cause camelot's fall.
So I basically knew from the get go where the show was gonna go.
