I like how I started a large conversation about our favorite female characters...

i don't understand how people don't like hinata. i mean, she risked her life just for the life of naruto when fighting pain. she really cares about naruto and everyone else, and to me, that seems so sweet ^^ she might not be my favorite female character, because mine is tsunade, but I think she's pretty cool ^^

I don't like Hinata .-.
I find her character lacking any proper development.
Her personality was too timid and shy for me to enjoy,
and her character seems to be lacking many flaws from
my perspective, making her a bit too perfect.

I dunno. I personally chose my favourite characters
based on their development, personality, and how
realistic/relatable I find their character. To me, change
and flaws are essential in a character.

Also, Kishi did say something about Itachi having a
girlfriend in an interview.

Question: Did Itachi have someone special?
Kishimoto's Answer: If Itachi had a gf? Yes, I believe he
did. He must have been quite popular among girls, I
think he had.

So yeah. Pretty sure all of you already knew this from
Tobi but just putting this here.

I see where your getting the things about hinata, and I get the "too perfect" thing ^^ because at first I didn't seem to like her at all at first because I thought she was weird and way too shy for any person to like, but in shippuden I guess I liked her character a lot more ^^

I've never really been critical of character development. If a character doesn't stand out to me or if I can't remember their name just after I finished whatever I'm watching then clearly they weren't worth remembering. I get the whole lack of development thing from a writer's perspective, though. But I mean, with a huge cast of characters even realistically I couldn't expect everyone to be equally developed, if that makes sense? I can't really say anything like I know what it's like to write a manga series for fifteen years, but the frustration of someone who lives in a radical world like that and never seemingly altering just a bit would get old. I won't bother fretting over a character that even the creator didn't deem important. Maybe I'm the only one who gets that vibe, though? I mean yeah, secondary characters literally means secondary importance to the main cast, but even they need some thought too. I think I just get disappointed when I have hopes for a character that doesn't turn out to be anything but someone in the background. Plus it just gives you a headache trying to make sense of it cx

okay, I'm just going to be honest, there are ALOT of people I wish got together in boruto.

like neji and ten ten,
and kakashi and hanare,
and naruto and sakura (you probably hate me for that one)
and obito and rin,
and a lot more.

such a shame most of them died. and some of them are like fifty and aren't married yet *cough* kakashi *cough*

My friend and I were talking about Naruto today because we were watching an Akatsuki MEP on youtube, and she said Hidan should definitely make an appearance in the new series. Be all "[bad word] you thought." and maybe go after Shikamaru and the, once he realized Shikamaru has a son and wife, Shikadai and Temari

hatake., I definitely agree that NejiTen should've happened. One of my OTPs right there. But I honestly didn't want Naruto to get together with anyone. My friend and I like him as a bachelor

Yeah, I totally get that.
Especially since many characters didn't get a lot

i read some really well written tenten x sai once so now i ship it (i mean, i also like tenten x sasuke but it's significantly more ridiculous)

To me, he was one of those characters that would have been fine alone.
Although, I did toy with the Idea of SasuSai for a while.

I agree with Sai being alone and YES lol grumpy Sasuke.

as a kid: crosses arm and sticks out his bottom lip, grumpy with Itachi.
at 17: blows up his freaking bedroom because he was woken from a nap.

I screamed over and over again when Sasuke came back. I was like SO HAWT OH NO GAHHH I was literally slapping my face like a dying seal and screaming alone in my room at 2 AM. I've never screamed so loudly. Of everything I like in the entire world my number one character of everything is Sasuke.
