Anyone think they might wanna do a pokemon RP?
I'm thinking about a group of penpals, each from a pokemon gym (members, not a leader. Think the flunkies before you battle the big boss), deciding to cast off their training at their gyms and strike out on adventure. Basically your character would specialize in one type and one type only, which would be pretty interesting when it comes to battles. :3

This looks like it would be really cool. When you say "penpals" does that mean every post will be in letter format? Sometimes I write little mini-stories like that, for the CS pet pairs thread, but using it in a roleplay would be really fun and interesting.

That's just how they know each other. but it's lame so I think I'll just have them as normal friends that split up to go to different gyms, then got back together to go on an adventure.

Oh, yeah, same here. The only games I've played are FireRed and then Platinum after I got a DS.

I would love to do a pokemon role-play. I have never done one before, and most I see have no real plot. If you do decide to make it, then reserve me a spot as a trainer from the water gym. So, by specialty, you mean they only have one element of pokemon (water, fire, metal, etc) ? That would be very interesting, and again, if I can, reserve me a water trainer spot ^^

It will be a very lazy rp, I'm not too keen on making up a huge RP with an entire front page worth of info lol.
I'll be mostly copying/pasting stuff from my last pokemon RP, Huia Isles. Our players will arrive here (Huia isles) from all over pokeworld, as it's smack dab between all of them.
You can battle anyone you want, however I'll decide what pokemon pop-up where. I'll use a random pokemon generator to decide what pops up. You can of course only catch pokemon in your type-set, ontop of that you can only carry 6 pokemon and you don't have a PC.

I will be encouraging people to do their own thing, I like very inclusive RPs. If you want to make up how a new area looks (Say we walk into a forest, the first player to describe how the forest looks gets to pick what kind of forest it is. Is it a dead forest? A rain forest? maybe it's nothing but palm trees.) the same goes for mini plots, if one of the players pokemon gets sick and we have to back-track over three days worth of progress to find a berry we spotted to cure it, we're gonna have to do that. :]

There will be no gym battles. :0
I have lots of mini-plots in mind, there's a training school on one of the islands so the players will be pulled into a contest there where they will be assigned a student (or three) and they will have to race across to the finish line all the while completing a series of task. They might have to use their pokemon to cross a river or have to scale a cliff all while using teamwork. mainly there will be quests needed to be completed before they progress. As for the over-all plot i haven't thought of one. xD

I don't reserve spots, sorry. :]
My pokemon will be ground type, so that's gone. xD

This sounds really great! I would trully like to join, even though my pokemon knowledge is not as extense as it used to be and I'm rusty on the terms ^^''
