No problem, glad I could help! C: -- They definitely will make beautifully images separately, I believe. The howling wolf seems to go very well with the background, while the other two make a very nice pair.

As far as digital painting goes, you may want to try to AVOID the blur tools. Try just painting, rather than laying down colours and smudging them wherever you like. I find that with painting, you really need to focus on the actual strokes of your brushes.
You can always lower the opacity of your actual brush-- the density and tip shape too-- to play around with the effects you'll get. With SAI, you can also adjust how much your brush "blends" into colours already laid down.
Defining your edges may also help a lot. The head area looks very nice, but the legs appear molded together, as there is no clear line where they actually are.
