Technically, yes. ^^; And it's rather ironic considering that I'm not one bit Japanese. It's... a long story.
I use my middle name in real life, just to avoid confusion. :3 But on the internet I've always used my first. It's a bit like having a fake name considering that only a handful of friends actually know my first name, so...

Me either, I go by my middle. My case is different though because my first is a "family name" which is common in the deep south.

It is a pretty name though. I have all sorts of ideas for naming my kids, most of which are from countries they'll probably have no genetic connection to. xD Like "Nadine" which is french and... yep, totally not french. A cool sounding, original name is best

I go by Kestral which has been my knickname for my whole life. I am soo changing it to my real name at some point. The only people that know my real name are me and mum.

I hate my real name. Its silly and its the name of buildings, not people *stupid name*.

But I would love to be called something awesome like Hoshiko!!

I actually prefer my middle- it's really two syllables, but can be shorted to one, easy to say, fairly generic but still memorable. Hoshiko is pretty, but it's probably a bit too... elegant? For me. :3" As a first name it's perfect, but not for everyday use.

I love people with unique names. <3 They're interesting. The only thing I don't like is having to spell them... I always think I'm going to mess it up. |3;;

Yeah I gotta agree with your point on Hoshiko though, I didnt actually realise it could be a name till you said.

Unique names are fun but irritating for the reason you said. Thats why I am Kess to well...basically everyone.
