Lets have a bit of a discussion/ game,

The topic is interesting mutations/things/patterns on YOUR runes.
~ Baby, adult, ancient, any is fine ^^
~ they can be completely obvious or hard to find, it does not matter ^^

I'll start:
Loki is the only non ancient dragon with both horns and ears ^^
he also has "sown up" wounds/ cracks on various parts of his body.



Salem's horns look like dead trees if you don't look at them correctly, and she has a very 'creepy' Halloween-like smile, all of her feathers are ruffled and disheveled, and she has messier fur than most runes. She has a crack in her skull, and (oddly) so does her rune :B

Ooooh, looks like fun Let's see about mine...



I honestly have no idea what Ashlyn's rune marking represents xD For the time being, I believe it's supposed to be a sort of... dreamy-looking 'G', since the original request mentioned that I wanted her marking to have something to do with guardianship or dreams. She also looks sort of... freckled. See the little purple dots all over (that aren't beads? xD) I think she was also the first to really have a multiple bead pattern...



Despite being listed as having black eyes, Oriana actually seems to have glow-y yellow eyes... or are they just reflecting her Rune marking, if it glows?



Thane looks like a bunny, and I believe he's one of the only Runes so far with a bobtail. ... well, before Loki came along anyway xD



Mirala is the only other Rune, aside from the Albino, to not actually have a rune marking! She also probably has the most unique wings so far, only time will tell if we see more Runes with bony wings...



Adrian is just pure luffs :> Her horns, whether Benathorn intended it or not, are rather reminiscent of asari head tentacles, and she has little N7 dogtags! I hadn't requested anything like that when I made up the form for her, it was a complete (but awesome) surprise.



From the looks of things, Nyarlathotep is the only Rune, Ancient or normal, who doesn't have the slightest hint of wings. He also looks sort of like he's just fading in and out of reality, which was a pretty awesome touch.

... my god, I have a lot of Runes xD (Well, Oriana technically doesn't count/is co-owned with Nix, but still!)

Do you mean the code?

On your pic right click and choose 'Copy Image URL' then paste it. Select everything and choose [Img] not [Url].

Change (auto&rev) to (png&rev) and change the (size=large) to (size=medium).

This sounds fun ono My phone can't copy and paste, but my runes unique thing is his rune. Voodoo is the only rune I've seen who has what looks like a 3D rune. He has the patches, then what looks a needle that sticks out. I'll grab a pic when I'm on my computer.

I want to play the game too but I am going to do it a bit differently.

Imp Rune~ I put horns and ears on the little guy since I thought that would make him more impish looking and had to change it around a bit since he was starting to look like a baby deer. I plan on doing a stag and doe later on for the regular runes so I had to make him look like an evil bunny!

Zombie Rune~ You requested broken off horns (Floating) so that's what I did. Although it does look like bleached tree branches, it still gives her a very scary effect! :3

Doctor Who~ The reason he has no bead is because he has no horns. You requested hair and that leaves no space to place a bead and I thought well, heck, he has a giant scarf so that should be enough right?
Fun Fact! I was watching Prison Break when I was making him, they were riding bulls for some reason...

Dream Catcher Rune~ She was certainly the first with multiple beads and the spots all over her are also on quite a few other dragons to give effect. The swirly rune mark is just that, a swirly. Nothing more or less, I was just trying to make it look dreamy or something or other...^__^

Dark Matter Rune~ Her eyes just look cool that way that's why. Yellow and black show up well together and there's no reflection from her rune. But she is so pretty!

Banshee Rune~ The baby has no rune marking since the wings were already starting to become too busy for the eye. Originally I was just going to do bone wings but white and gray does not show up too well so I decided to give it depth by adding tattered remnants of her wings. This helped bring out the white contrasting bones but left little room to add a rune for fear of making it far to busy for anyone focus on the real traits. So the decision was made to not do a rune and perhaps do one for her if she is to ever grow. The baby line art was small to begin with and I was already pushing the limit with the wings so I left it as is.

Paragade Rune~ I certainly did know that the horns looked like an Asari and I felt add to the effect of what she was based off of. The dog tags I thought would be a good reminiscent item and I certainly know what other ME fans would like so I went ahead and placed them there even if it was not something you requested. ^^
Fun fact! I was watching someone play the Jurassic Park interactive game. I got to see so many colorful deaths as well as one freaky story!

The Ancient of Chaos~ The reason he has no wings was because he could just form some if he wished. Much like the spectral wings that Numair has, they can simply animate their wings from nowhere since really they have little reason to fly when they can appear from time or space. Also, he won't be the only one without wings since the Moon Ancient does not have any either. :3
Fun Fact! I was watching River Monsters when I drew him...Oddly I find myself remembering all the shows I watched during a runes creation... weird.

Nadja~ Can't really say much here other than you are the only one to request a full aura around your rune. No one else has asked such things in their custom. XD

So yeah, you guys get a behind scenes on what goes through my mind when drawing these runes. If others place up more I would be happy to give a background on what was going on when I was making their rune. ^___^
