@ki-neko animura, Your OCs are really gorgeous! I like that each time the characters seem to have a new outlook on the galaxy theme rather than the traditional pelt made of stars. There is a difference between each species ^^

Where do you come out with personalities? Do you have to wait a while or do you just immediately come up with them?

I usually try to look at the MBTI or the horoscope/ zodiac personality types then I put in the origins/ where they live and what drives them as a person. Just broad lines until I make a story/ art... I usually try to inspire myself by their design. That's why I like natural designs because they're like blank canvas. I feel that themed design are obsolete if you deviate from their intent. Like a galaxy themed OC must have stars/space incorporated in their backstory/personality and it just feels weird when it doesn't...

I did some art of my Reito-Ju, Suiro over the weekend~ It was supposed to be just a simple sketch piece without shading and all, but idk suddenly felt inspired to finish it so it ended up as it is xD

The Reito-Ju (aka reito) are a canine-like species existing on the land of Eixea. They are a ARPG dA species first created by Inushiri on dA during august of 2015, though they have since moved to a new group and some aspects of the species have been improved to make them easier to draw.

Reitos from the old group can be transferred to the new reference lines for free, and any semi-customs obtained in the old group can be used somewhat as an myo to make a completely new reito! Only limits on the design are that they must be natural-like, and not appear like some sparkle dogs/wolves. Eye colour must also follow the mana type regulations of the group, of which all manatypes are available except for Ascended manatypes.

The new dA group for the Reitos has been around for some time now, but it hasn't been getting the attention it deserves, so I thought I'd advertise it a little.

Oh man. Sometimes I can automatically have a personality picked out and ready to go, but sometimes I have to wait and really work at it. I tend to base characters off of tv/movie/ect. characters - but not just one - a mix of a couple characters to make them more unique and more my own <3

What's your opinion on characters based on real life pets or plushies? Personally I think it is cool! If you have a strong connection to something I don't see why you can't create something based off of the item/animal. Isn't that what these characters are for?

I'm actually torn right now between starting a cosplay of either Aasiyah or Eira next. Both have similar hair colors to me and I could wear the outfits to my second job (I work at the TRF).
How do you name your characters? I have WAY too many baby name sites in my favorites.... Plus I love researching the meanings behind the names. That is usually how I name my characters.
