and yep im caught up with re... what was the most recent chapter ? 48?
i feel like i need to spend more time reading the chapters and going back to analyze them instead of just keeping up with the releases 'cause i can never remember the characters or what went on in the last chapter //

i said i enjoyed ito but i didnt even realize he appeared in the original tg;; just noticed him pop up in the most recent chapters of re: haha

i think ive got an ok grasp of tg up until the appearance of aogiri but i dont have any deep theories/analyses going on like some people seem to have. i actually have a lot of questions about the original manga leading up to its ending. like, ?? er, what happened to hide?

i looked at the wiki and it says his status is unknown in the manga. my friends are convinced he's absolutely 100% dead and ive reread that last part with him and kaneki several times but i cant make much sense of it, although ive seen a few theories claiming him to be alive since his death wasnt clarified?

i'm not really good at coming up with theories either but i like reading other people's theories!!
sui slips so many references into his manga so there's ton of material for theories, like hiding tarot card numbers in panels.
also, what about aogiri do you not understand? maybe i can help?

i really dont understand what the aogiri's goals are now. they became really big near the end of tokyo ghoul but now it seems like kind of a developing side project to the side of current events. im not even sure i completely understood what they were after in the first place when they were introduced.

i mean, aside from the aogiri too theres like... the clowns, was it? maybe its just because i dont pay attention enough but i feel like theyre too enigmatic for me and a plot element tossed in briefly. then there's that doctor... kanou ? and eto !!! i just looked at her wiki; apparently shes the same person as sen takatsuki... that completely slipped me.

im sure some of these things are just as unknown to everyone as they are to me though, haha.

i guess it ties into my question " who are the good/bad guys, really ? " but it seems like a more subjective question than anything lmao

wow i wonder how people come up with those far-fetched things ?

itd be interesting to hear if anyone in this fanclub has any theories;; either out of denial or with substantial backing itd be fun to hear since i dont like prowling about tumblr to fish out all the interesting ones.

to be honest i didn't know the clowns were behind everything until i read the manga several times and checking the wiki
also heres some tarot cards!!

kaneki is number 12, the hanged man. there's a couple other panels of him with 12
but i don't remember the exact panels, sorry
juuzou is number 13, as shown in his hairclips [XIII] which is death
seidou is number 15, which is the devil
and in :re, there's a seidou panel in which there is an upside down 4,
the 4 is the emperor, but reversed it means domination, excessive control, rigidity, and inflexibility?
it's probably a little far fetched but it kind of makes sense. it could also be a 14 which reversed
means imbalance, excess, and lack of long-term vision

there's more tarot cards but those are the ones i remember the best

also, another thing i noticed is when big madame screams i never once
loved you the word lie is faintly written in her mouth here

as for aogiri goals, i may be wrong but i don't think their true intentions have been revealed yet.

o H my god im shocked theyre so well hidden !! i wouldnt have noticed they were there in the first place unless you pointed it out to me jfc. its ok ! just these few panels are really great. i should really pay more attention to the panels then. i usually read over stuff really fast which is probably why i fail to notice this interesting stuff in the first place so thanks for showing these to me i really appreciate it !

oh thank goodness // i thought i was missing out on something really obvious ?? as far as i know they seem to be going for domination of some kind but a majority of the members in the seem to be interested in individual pursuits as far as i can tell?

on that note i think ill try rereading some tg:re chapters when i have time. i kind of blanked out when it came to the parts pertaining to the whole ordeal with kanae.

oh, and sorry for the barrage of questions !! but would it be terribly worth it for me to watch the anime for tokyo ghoul? im pretty sure its not worth my time due to lack of character development but because the plots diverge near the end and onto root a im thinking it might be something i have to get into eventually... however painful it may be.

there's really nothing the anime adds which would contribute to the manga,
so unless you really want to watch it, there's no reason to.
unless you want to watch kaneki carry hide for 3 minutes or so.

when i read manga i usually read fairly quickly so sometimes i come back and reread it
and on my 2nd or 3rd read-through i tend to notice things i didn't see before, since
i'm not completely focused on paying attention on the plot

also don't worry about too many questions, you're not asking very much
and i like talking about tg

and to be honest, i don't see how they're going to do season 3, with having removed so many important plot points.
they didn't do kaneki's death, didn't reveal the clowns as the main antagonists, nor characterized tsukiyama properly.
so tsukiyama going into depression after kaneki's death doesn't make sense, and the fact he cares so much about kaneki
wouldn't be explained since he wasn't shown to truly care about kaneki in the anime, only wanting him for food.

I completely agree, a reboot would be amazing. Ishida deserves better ;n;
I'm just going to sit here and wait for a TG Brotherhood to happen.

I understand what you mean, removing (very) important plot points, but I guess they could somehow pull it off to reach the same point as re:. I mean, it ends with Kaneki facing Arima, so the the fight could still happen between them (though there seems to be a time skip, so it may be as a flashback). also I'm not even certain if Hide is dead at all at the end of root a. heck, they made it dramatic enough though. because if he ends up coming back in re: (which he better), than the anime will be even worse if it is confirmed he died in root a -.-

damn, I just... want a reboot.

tsukiyama's representation in the anime annoys me as well, because they only portray him as wanting to eat kaneki, when in actual fact, he mainly just uses this as an excuse because he tries to deny enjoying kaneki's company, because he just can't admit to himself that he's made a friend ;u;
though I guess I'm not surprised by his latest development in chapter 48 of re: (when he turns against sasaki) after he lost his father, friends, and basically everything he ever knew, all in a matter of hours.
