Do you have any characters with the same name?

I do, I actually have two characters with the exact same name, Dimitri Morozov. They have similar personalities but are as a whole, totally different when it comes to background and whatnot. And I sometimes reuse names for different people.

Actually.... I don't think I do. I don't normally reuse characters, and I tend to tailor them to the specific RP I'm in. Only if I join and RP that doesn't really get moving will I reuse a character, and then they will take their name with them. Honestly, I never really thought about giving two the same name, though it does make sense. I mean, I know like six Daves IRL, so I can easily see how that would happen.

Never, but I am guilty of reusing characters. -shame face- I tend to get really attached to whatever character I just newly made and they usually get thrown into a couple different roleplays that their personality and a tweaked backstory would fit in. But I do see my characters as separate people, thus I try to keep their names different for my own sanity. I'd hate to accidentally mix one of them up with another. So far I've used Daniel, James, Erin, Christer, Faelene, Eli, Charlie (Charlotte), Sawyer, Derek, Jules, Kate, Beth, and Johan. I do have a ton if wip characters that have yet to be named though.

While I don't like to reuse names, I have on some occasions due to the inactivity of the roleplays they were participating in. So if I make a character for a roleplay and it dies within a few days (like the majority of my group roleplays Dx) then I just reuse the character somewhere else. Particularly for the name "Ronan", I have used in like 10 different storylines, and it has become somewhat of a joke as none of them have ever lasted more than a few pages or so. He is forever alone. XD

        Summer of Rustlers

This RP takes place at Lonely Willow Retreat.
Three female friends have decided to get away for a bit and go horse-riding, an old passion which they had all met through when they were younger. What they dont know is, the three stallions they have been assigned to ride, are in fact, cursed men. Every night the curse reverses it self and the men turn back into humans until the sun comes up again.
The women eventually stumble upon this secret. Feelings bloom, etcetc.
Then the women, who were supposed to be on a vacation, have a new task.
        Break the curse.
However, they have no clues to go on.
Prehaps it has something to do with the old, lonely willow, so close to the old womans abandoned shack...?

This is a remake of Clowesia's old roleplay, one which never really took off. I've reduced the total spaces by 2 so it will be easier to keep on top of in terms of activity. If people are interested, I'd really like commitment for this!

Do you have any characters with the same name?
yes, I do. I tend to use any names that go with "Rose" quite often (Rosalie, Roseana, Rosy, Enarosa, etc), I have two female characters with the exact same name (Emilie Jeanette Wolfe) who are qua personality, faceclaim, history and everything totally different, and I have a lot of Elizabeths. I also have two Ophelias.
      male-wise, I really use any name that comes to my mind, so there aren't really any males with the same name c;

also, I'm currently looking for an one x one on as, which is about a (fe)male fan who falls in love with this female rock star. I'd prefer to play the rock star in this. the gender of the fan doesn't matter to me.
I just want two nice paragraphs per post and someone who is willing to post every 3-4 days c:
      please pm me!

also a question from me c:

what age range are you most comfortable playing?
my minimum is at least fifteen, as I truly dislike characters of a younger age (unless they're like, younger siblings or something) and my maximum lies around 35. older isn't interesting for me anymore.
my characters are, however, usually around 19-22.

Questions

Postby Artesian » Fri Oct 11, 2013 5:21 am

Do you have any characters with the same name?
Entire name, no. First names or last names, rarely. I reuse characters all the time (sometimes tweaking them slightly to help them fit in a roleplay better), but only one entire name is assigned to each character. It would just be... weird. I do have a collection of characters all with variants of the first name Louis, but that's actually centered around a plot-point/joke. I use this for ideas, and this for names with meanings. (click on advanced search).

what age range are you most comfortable playing?
I want to be comfortable in all ranges, but I'm only comfortable with any age over 13. Any younger than that, and I haven't had much experience with (except for living through it). Kids baffle me, and writing them is just... tough. o.o I'd love more practice at it. On the other hand, I've written a badass grandmother WWII vet, and she was getting up there. Could still scare a room full of rowdy patrons at her bar into behaving though. (Seriously though, if there's ever an opportunity to play an older character, come get me pleeeease!)

INSANELY BUSY!
I am moving! For the next month or so, I am going to be so very busy.
If I'm on here, it's because I'm unwinding with writing or pets or whatever.
Please do not add to my stress, if you can. Your support is appreciated.

do you have any characters with the same name?
    hrm... i try not to.
i used to quite a lot.
i do tend to recycle surnames, though.
i always tend to struggle a bit with names, guys especially.
girls not so much since i rarely ever play girls.

what age range are you most comfortable playing?
i've played a character as young as seven as a side character.
and an eight year old briefly as a main character.
i think i can do anything from seven/eight to late twenties.
i've gone as far as twenty-eight though i doubt i could do much older.
i wouldn't be able to play an elderly character very well, i don't think.
