Re: The Semi-Literate & Literate Roleplayer's Club (V3)

Okay, so a while ago I created this rp called the Seven Riders. Basically it's about this guild of Dragon Riders who have been around for thousands of years. There are certain children in the room that they could tell had the potential to become Dragon Riders, so they take them to this guild. There are seven prophesied teenagers, who are still apprentices, they haven't even gotten their dragons yet, and when the Guild is attacked, the guild master shoves eggs in their hands, telling them that they have to run and escape because he knows that they are the Chosen Ones. The eggs hatch and then they get pulled into a war.
We did have all the spots filled up, but someone had to drop out so we have one more spot that needs to be taken before we can start ^^

TIME
Rider-
Dragon-
The wielder of time is very quiet and thoughtful, never in a hurry and always observant, watching out at everything that is going on around them. They, like air, is not a fan of violence but will kill when necessary, quickly and efficiently. They have the power to control time, reverse it, stop it and slow it.

Also...I find it kind of saddening to see CS members who have been around longer than I have and their literacy still hasn't changed. They did one liners three years ago and they're still writing one liners o.e I wonder why they haven't tried to improve their writing...

Probably because they don't want to. They feel fine where they're at. -shrug- I mean, if they do rping for the sole purpose of enjoyment and a little stress reliever, I think it's a lot less worrisome and stressful when all you have to do is post a line xp

Also, yes, a lot of role players are also writers, but some aren't. There's not really incentive for them if they're just doing it for the fun of it, like what abby said. My boyfriend, for instance, can definitely keep up with semi-lit role players, but he's not a writer at all, so he hasn't tried to increase his post size or general character development since he's started role playing.

        Summer of Rustlers

This RP takes place at Lonely Willow Retreat.
Three female friends have decided to get away for a bit and go horse-riding, an old passion which they had all met through when they were younger. What they dont know is, the three stallions they have been assigned to ride, are in fact, cursed men. Every night the curse reverses it self and the men turn back into humans until the sun comes up again.
The women eventually stumble upon this secret. Feelings bloom, etcetc.
Then the women, who were supposed to be on a vacation, have a new task.
        Break the curse.
However, they have no clues to go on.
Prehaps it has something to do with the old, lonely willow, so close to the old womans abandoned shack...?

This is a remake of Clowesia's old roleplay, one which never really took off. I've reduced the total spaces by 2 so it will be easier to keep on top of in terms of activity. If people are interested, I'd really like commitment for this!

      Favorite type of RP: realistic
Roleplay sample: from a 1x1 i'm participating in on awesomesauce

" Removing her hand from the shallow tank, Cosima watched the water from above for a few moments longer before her gaze eventually shifted to other parts of the room. It came as a surprise and a relief (for she wouldn't have to spend the last twenty minutes of her shift numb with boredom) when she saw that she was no longer the only person occupying the large room. A young woman who she didn't recall having had been there when she was talking with the little boy was now standing in front of one of the tanks. "A lot of people think a seahorse is just a seahorse, but there are actually over fifty different species," She moved over to stand near the tank, still leaving a comfortable amount of space between them. "eleven of which can be found in that very tank." She smiled and her eyes fell toward the plaque containing various information about the fish "And if you ever studied psychology or anatomy, you're probably familiar with its scientific name, Hippocampus" her finger followed her gaze as she pointed toward the word engraved near the top. "Julius Caesar Aranzi, who played a huge role in carving the pathway for the science of human anatomy, noticed the similarities in appearance between the section of the brain and these guys in the late fifteen hundreds..."

"I'm sorry, I'm probably boring you," She shook her head, waving her hands in an apologetic manner before clasping them together in front of her; still slightly wet from when she'd been petting the crab moments earlier. The fact that most people weren't quite as passionate about absorbing these little facts as she was often escaped her mind. "

Any semi-lit/lit RPs you have: None that are active at the moment.

That's the point I was trying to get across

Honestly, I started rping and pushing myself when I saw one of my friends joining these Required amount of words/paragraphs/lines rps. And when I hit that point I felt so good and proud of myself. Of course that's all gone now /shot still trying to get to literate >.<

By the way, I will accept new members once I get the new thread up which should be relatively soon, the next day or so.
