@Rose, nah, because I'm one of the old farts. LOL But no, I do worry about that sometimes, that people think I'm a creep or something for hanging out with people younger than I am all the time.

The Burning Rose wrote:@arty, I'm half and Half there. i like them if that person will then do another rp with me after that, since once I find a partner I like I like to keep them around, but then again, if I find the pairing super cute, then I don't ever wanna stop rping them

I have a question also-
Do you find role playing with older people intimidating? Some of my partners are in their thirties, most are 18+ and then I'm like... Whelp, a noticeable amount younger, and a lot of the time, no matter how nice they are, and even though I know they just enjoy my writing, they intimidate the crap out of me

I WANT TO KNOW THE ANSWERS TO THIS.

I find myself older than every RP partner I've been with on this site. Where I came from my peers were the same age - there were younger users but us veterans had been around from the beginning and had even known each other for years. But here... it's weird, like everyone is 13-17 and I'm not in that range.

I don't mind younger RP partners but it does sometimes feel weird to have characters flirting, kissing, or sexual body language when (to me) it's clear that they have never even experienced these things for themselves, or to notice such obvious inconsistencies like 21 year old doctors and 19 year old cafe owners. It's ridiculous. xD

@ Rose, Heron and Consult: Huh. My main roleplaying/writing partner and I have finished two or three ones. We work in the same story-sphere, and do short-stories with them that only last a few days of writing for two or three hours a day - and then we think up something else to play. We've done maybe twenty that way while working on a much bigger Collab project. (I've always wanted to kill off my character - maybe my cameos in Blitz's HG roleplay will allow me to finally do that. xD)

@Thunder: *waves hand* I'm out of that range! I am! I have found though, that age rarely has a big deal to do with the quality of someone's writing - and mental age is often times way different than physical age.

It does make me roll my eyes a bit to see another special school with special people. I like playing semi-adults... playing kids stuck in a school or at home is a bit constraining. The only thing I worry about is potentially corrupting the younglings with my occasional bad-language and morbid imagination. >->

I feel the same friggen way. I simply roleplay because I enjoy telling stories and I love to write. If you're a good writer I could care less about your age, y'know?

I want to do a zombie roleplay.
      Like really.

Exactly. So long as I can be sure I'm not breaking any laws, I don't care how old you are.

Anyway, I just watched WWZ the other night, so I am slightly interested, even though I'm not very much into zombies.

-pops in-
I used to have partners around my age, but lately it seems I've been attracting teenaged girls. I'm not complaining; I like quality writing. I guess I don't get too concerned with corrupting younger partners, mostly because I was writing maturely at kind of a young age.
But, like thunder said, I can usually tell when a role player is young based on misconceptions on the world that they throw into their writing.

Lol sofa xD
All my friends are juniors and seniors in rl and they're like "we don't want to corrupt your mind"
Ehhhhhh too late xP ah well I'll just silently sit there and pretend I don't get half the stuff they're saying xD

But no a lot of my partners are older than me
I'm so used to it and when I find one my age or younger I'm just like "wait I thought you were older ono" "
I honestly don't care about age. Rping is a way for me to write because I for the life of me cannot focus on my own books (speaking of which all of mine saved on my laptop may be trashed soon due to it being locked by a virus ;n;) and it's also just a way for me to relax. I love getting to know my partners and befriend them

I don't like killing my characters off and I typically fall in love with pairings and geeze I love planning all sorts of things once I'm all hyped up for a rp

I have a hard time writing fight scenes though >.> I can imagine it but actually putting it into words without it being cheesy or stupid sounding to me once I read it over is beyond me T.T

referred to as 'pie' though. i adore rping, writing and reading.
however, i do not actively rp here anymore. i am on AS, under
the username forlorn. if you want to rp, shoot me a pm!
or even just to chat, i love meeting new people.

That's true..I think I role play with people both a lot younger and older than me. You can usually tell by their choice of words and their pictures for their characters. For me fight scenes are fairly easy but in the end I find that they are a but unbelievable as each of the two people role playing don't want their character to lose/die.
I happen to prefer romantic scenes not at all like fade to black things but just flirting and pranking each other.
I'm sad to say that that's probably because the lack of perfection in my life. (How old would you guess I am?)
