I would love to write a fic if I knew more detail about how long it has to be. Like one-shot or a full fledges multi-chapter fan fiction. c:

I had been thinking One category for each, originally, but now it kind of depends on our judging system.

I think I'm going to write a high school AU. Because I am so, incredibly, cliche.
I even had a self insert in a Naruto fic once! All I need know is some bad yaoi.

Also I'm going to set it in Massachusetts, to have the even more cliche of it being basically where I'm from. Gonna get that pepperjack cheese action too. Yay for cliche!
It would make way more sense to set it in California, because there's a lot more Asians plus they actually do have a fire country, so to speak, but research is hard.

The theme doesn't bother me.
However I will say I think it's fair if we all have to write the same aoungt of a fanfict length
(in relation to oneshot or multichapter)
I'd say it would be easier if we all wrote a oneshot and it would also be fairer.

write ends up being cliche trash.

And can I suggest just setting a limit to the
amount of words instead of chapters?

That way users could chose whether they want to
write a one-shot or a multi-chapter.

I personally would not enter if there was a word limit.
I'm better with vague limits.
Like, say, it can't be longer than 5 pages in Word.

well, some can write a lot in a short period of time. look at nanowrimo. people can crank out hundreds of thousands of words in a month. i'm not saying we're going to do that, and two weeks is rather short, sweet, and to the point. Maybe one-shots have a limit of 10,000 words and Multi-chapter fics can be maxed out at 15,000-20,000 words. So those who don't actually want to write that much have room to breathe, and those who do want to write more have a challenge to face.

we did talk about it a few pages ago, and i agree w/ you about the word limit.
i had made a suggestion, but i'm not the one organizing the competition,
so it seems like we won't get a character limit.
i guess just don't write a lot...?
