How can I choose? I guess Eponine, Javert, Gavroche, and Jean Valjean are my four favorites.
How you became a fan:
I just started getting into the play a few months ago, mostly because a few of my friends are fanatics about it. I've read about it and herd many of the songs online. Last night I went to go see the movie, and it was GREAT! Me and my friends were wailing at the end. ;_; Only good movies make you do that.

Oh my gosh, I just saw the movie yesterday!! When Colm Wilkinson came out, I almost started crying my eyes out. Aw, the memories...

Oh, yes.
When I first saw Mme. Thenardier, not knowing who was playing her in the movie before hand, I almost said "Oh, hey Bellatrix." (That was the character she played in Harry Potter, for those who didn't know.)
I swear Helena Bonham is in Everything and she Always plays the exact same character.

Yeah, I mean, she was good. But that's because she's good at playing that type of character. She just can't sing at all. If the role didn't require singing, she would be wonderful.

And oh my gosh, the guy who played Marius... I'm in love. He was so perfect.

Eddie Redmayne (as Marius) was really good. Sometimes I felt like his voice wasn't very strong, but "Empty Chairs" totally made up for that.

And can we please talk about how gorgeous Aaron Tveit is. Like, I freaked out when he first came onscreen.

Yeah, I think because there were parts where he had to hit those high tenor notes (most guys' falsettos) so his voice wasn't as strong. But I thought, considering the circumstances, he was pretty damn good. And he's not too harsh on the eyes, either.

Oh, he surprised me as Enjolras! I'm still stuck on Ramin Karimloo, from the 25th Anniversary Concert, but wow, that guy was amazing! His voice was incredible, too! Definitely not what I was expecting, in a good way.

I agree the guy who played Enjorlras, Aaron Tveit, was pretty good.

In my opinion, the best acting performance, or at least one of them, was Anne Hathaway's portrayal of Fantine. I wouldn't be surprised if she was nominated for an Oscar, which I believe she has. I was so touched by her words and her expressions when she sang "I Dreamed A Dream." When the actress starts to cry, you know it is serious.

If I had to complain about one thing it would be the way Eponine was portrayed. She was almost more of an annoyance than anything else. But that's not the way she's supposed to be. It was as if they were trying to portray a sort of "oh he doesn't love you so tuff luck" aspect. She had many important parts outside of the movie like her being the one to deliver the message to Cossette from Marius. She was suppose to be there when Valjean died, and they made it look like it was her fault that Cosette was leaving Marius when Cosette voluntarily told Valjean that she screamed to protect Eponine. Plus there where absolutely no tears out of Marius when she died.
