It had been a sad long winter. We had many to the cold,including,our Alpha. We were going to have a new leader and the clan was in a unseen trouble....I wish I could say so.
In our clan, we have a large variety of species. Mostly wolves, but all species are welcome as well. We all have our role. Mine is being the Healer, it is a dificult task, and so sad at times. One of the other roles that is only played be a frw, is the pup watcher. They tell stories to all the young. Most of us are hunters or guards. We also have a group of Warriors, although most of them left us this winter. The Most important is our Alphas and there second in lines. The next in line for the Alpha position is only a Five Moon old pup. This pup would be are first female leader. I am excited for this, because maybe the female's can reclaim there importance as great leaders. We have not lead the clan in many ,many summers. Mostly because we decide who leads based on age, and she was a single pup .
This year would be odd, and this young pup would need a mentor. She had no mother or father.....and most were thinking,"How will this work?"
I had plenty of trust in this, I knew the pup well, since I watched over her from the day she was born. I may be old and not live to see her succeed, but I was wise. I knew that she would prevail. She wished me to lead her, but I was not destined to see the next summer. Winter had been ruff, not to mention I had lived twenty summers. I would be there in spirit thought.

I whined silently my mentor ,Elder Rose, had left us. She was old though, and It would happen one day, I had to accept it.
It was time to get ready to take over my parents job. It was only one season away and they needed to find me a cave and start on a hunting trip for the feast.....I had a feeling that the feast would be small though. The food supply had been low for a very long time.
I looked up as someone walked up to me.
"Jaenelle, it is time to announce your clan" Sapphire said. She had been watching over me and calling me to things since Elder Rose passed on. She has been very kind.
"Yes , Elder." I replied
"I told you, and I will tell you again," She sighed,"You do not have to call me elder, I am only eight moons older than you. Even thought I am older, your still almost as wise. Your very different. "
"I will tell you what is different, being the youngest Alpha ever! How will I perform it," I let a purple tear go down my cheek and It blended in with my markings. "How!?"
"You will , I know you will. Ask Aponi and Alien. They know alot more than they let on too. Alien had some odd ability's. They both have warmed up to me, they trust me with alot."
"Hmm, Is it because of were you came from?" I questioned. She let me know of this because of the fact that I would be Alpha soon.
"Yes, We also get along well, Aponi is fond of me and you know she is sweet, but not very fond of to many people."
"Is she fond of me?" I shuddered. She had great power, being the one trusted with all the pups for many generations.
"Oh yes, She knew you were a born leader since you were a pup and started commanding the group" She let out a howling laugh "Now , we must go."
She made me feel much comfort. She was the nicest wolf I had met during this hole ordeal. I was happy that she did not command me to do things with a iron paw. It was a nice break. From behind the cave wall I headed many cheers. A odd mix of meows, howls, and rarws of the dragons. The smaller noises from the other creatures were only faintly there....It frightened me to have to command all of the clan!
"Look, she has come!" A young Pixie Happily growled.
They all bowed there heads, and it looked like a wave as they did so. A whisper appeared in my ear....
"They are very fond of you, I think they are excited...except,"She froze and stopped dead in her tracks. I looked at where she was looking, but all I saw was one of My Elder Rose's son's.....She continued,"Summanus, he fears you. He does not have as much of his mothers power....but thinks you might. It is not possible thought. Your a Demon wolf,and despite your name , a Kind one. That is another reason he fears you. If only he would not, he is only 12 Moons older than you. He would make a lovely mentor. Ah! Time to say your speech!"
I froze, I forgot all my practice. *Gulp* ....Sapphire looked at me. She had worry in her glowing eyes. "Did you forget?" I gave a slow nod . "Oh no!"
I stretched my wings in worry. What would I .....Aha, I had a idea " My Lovely Clan, " A cheer went threw the crowd. ", I come here to speak to you of what I will do and my plans,but, How can you know what I need to do when nothing is wrong ? I can tell you I plan to rule well, and protect you,"Another Rawr of Happiness,and a look of suprize from Sapphire,"I may be young, but I promise that I WILL keep piece, and will be as good of a ruler as my parents!!" Another loud Rawr! The speech was small, but I knew that I had pleased the crowd...except for Summanus, who still had a look of fear on his face...Why was he so scared?

"You did it! How did you come up with that? "
"I don't know, I just came to me. Did I do ok?"
"Well, the clan seems happy!" She Did a little fly around my room," Now, down to new business ," She called someone called "Animal" .
"Hello, I am Animal. You can call me Annie, if you like your Highness." I nodded, she seemed , Wild, but calm.....She had a Dragon Like hardness in her Voice.
" I don't think I will ever get used to being called a Alpha or your higness!"
"You will in time, For now, I will be helping you with keeping the kingdom run. It will be a dificult task, but I assure you ,you will do fine." She gave me a re-assuring look, and started walking ahead.
"So, will it be like you are me? Will you be making all my important decisions?" I asked.
"No, no. I will only aid you in your choice. Tell you my opinions on them. If your Elder Rose was here, she would be much better at this..." She sighed. I assumed she knew her. I put a paw on her scaly shoulder. It felt cold and pointy,"Your a kind one, despite your breed. I respect that." She shook the tears of her face and started slithering back into motion.
"May I ask,"She nodded before I finished," Do you have dragon in you?"
"No, Lizard I think," she flicked her green scaly tail," Maybe dragon...I would be surprised though, since I would be much bigger." She was in fact small for the idea of being part dragon. Although, she was still bigger than me.
"Now,"She started again. She recovered from the thought very fast," It is time you meet someone..." She pawed over a small bolder that lead to a new room....I had not seen before.
Inside was a few groups of Hay, and a wolf.
"Hello," The mysterious wolf said.
"Hello,"I replied,then continued" Who are you?" I said forgetting my manners.
"I am Daemon" He said awkwardly
.
I knew this name was familiar. Where had I heard it....Did my mother say i.....
Animal cut me off,"Your Highness, meet your Other Alpha."
"What?"
"What?" He said!
