less than a week now until the tamagotchi paradise release for some regions! (japan and other countries)
~1 month remaining for the US (i think we’re the last to get it)

bumping! the official tamagotchi paradise release has begun across the world, from both japan expo and other early pre-release sales and the official sale starting in japan! i managed to catch one of the japan you want openings so i will eventually have all 3 paradise shells. so excited!

favorite tamagotchi/virtual pet: Currently any gene-mixing Tama, it's fun to see the tama-mix variety. Favourite non-colour Tamas probably one of the later connection lines. I find the Digimon lines very interesting too.
other: Used to be HUGELY into tamas during 2015-2017. Unfortunately this was during the "dark" period of tamagotchi friends being the main line in the west. Rereleases and/or nanos i think either werent out yet or JUST coming out by then and colour tamas were still all (mostly) japan-exclusive and my mom wouldnt let me get any other Tama at the time unless it were sold in a physical store. Tamagotchi paradise looks so cool though and i wish i had a justifiable reason to get one at the moment to semi-get back into tamas

hiii welcome in!
and yea Tamagotchi Friends was also around the same time Toys R Us were closing down in the US and they were the only store near me that carried any tamas after the 5.5 connections :( if it's any consolation, i only really got back into the hobby around 2019! there's always time to get back in, and in the meantime feel free to live vicariously through the community <3

other: i only got into tamagotchi in 2024, after buying my first tamagotchi (a gen2 rerelease, the milk and cookies shell) in march! since then i've grown a little collection of around 10 vpets that i love dearly, including mostly tamagotchis but also a punirunes and a gigapets! i'm itching to get my hands on a paradise, i unfortunately missed the preorder and i haven't managed to snag one from a restock yet T^T
