I have kind of mixed feelings about John Birdwell. He's a nice guy, funny and lighthearted, and his guitar playing is fun as well, but he's such a horrible parent! I mean, if someone has Yumika as their mother, they'll need a really good father, and instead of being that good father, which John could have been as far as I can tell, he just neglected Chance just as much as she did! I know he's a busy person, but still…

About the team to stop Naoki, I think you accidentally left out Jean ^^. And Yuzumi, but she stated herself that she wouldn't be in the team all the time since she was too busy with other occupations, but that she would help them whenever needed. I wonder what her "other occupations" are… Do I want to know?

I absolutely loved the episode where Chance was the main character and you got to see his whole life story from his point of view, including Mana-chan being real

As for the ages, I think it was mentioned somewhere in the beginning that Kitti was 16, which means Washa, Yuuna, Yuuma and Yuzuki are all probably around that age as well. Jean is probably only 15 since she skipped a grade at a young age (which is kind of funny since Washa looks 12 and Jean looks about 17 when actually he is older and she is younger ^-^). Since Naoki and Chance are a year above them in school, they are probably a year older, which is confirmed by the episode 4 quote that Piefan found.

Yeah, I didn't count Yuzumi on purpose, because I think she isn't a real part of the team, altough she helps them from time to time.

(I have a headcanon where Yuzumi is related to the twins.
I mean - similar names, same age... imagine them being triplets! ♡)

That headcanon would explain how close the three of them are even though they're very different and don't always get along… but I don't think they can actually be triplets, since Yuzumi has such distinctive looks that don't have much in common with Yuuna or Yuuma's physical characteristics.
I actually like Yuuma better than Yuuna, even though he's not in the team and therefore not as important a character. I thought there must be some reason why he's not in the team, so I made a headcanon that Yuuma is the same person as Tetsuko. I know this would be REALLY weird, but I'm seriously starting to be convinced it is true.
Why I think this is true:
1. Yuuma being one of Naoki's new assistants (after Chance switched sides) would mean he is on Naoki's side: this would explain why he didn't want to join the team.
2. They are about the same size.
3. They are never in the same scene together.
4. The only scene where you see Daini (Naoki's other assistant) without Tetsuko is a scene where the twins are present. If Yuuma and Tetsuko were the same person, this would explain why Tetsuko didn't show up.
5. Daini and Tetsuko are probably not Naoki's assistants real names. Daini means "second" and Tetsuko means "iron child": these are likely to be nicknames, just like Naoki sometimes calls Chance "Mitsubachi", or "Honeybee". The nickname "iron child" could reflect Yuuma's cold personality.

Then on the other hand, it would be really weird if Yuuma turned out to be a villain, because why would he pick the opposite side of his sister when they clearly care a lot about each other even though their personalities are so different? Also, he is very close to Yuzumi, and she clearly hates Naoki…

I hope there will be a Season Two, and then maybe Yuuma's role in the story will be cleared up.

I researched that headcanon and found that there are more people who have those thoughts.
And now that you say it, it may not even be so unlikely...

But I guess we'll see in season 2. ;w;

By the way, I heard it would be somewhen in winter 2015 or spring 2016.
I can't wait!
I think lots of the questions that were still left open in the laste episode will be answered in season 2.
For example, what's with that "underwater world"?
And who is "Rose"?

I honestly far prefer the outtro to the intro. The latter's kinda generic; it sounds like something you'd find in every other anime. idk though, I'm not too fond of synth-pop so I may be a little biased. What's the song called again, if it did have a name? I don't remember. >.<

I don't remember the name of the outro either, sorry Piefan -.- . I like both the intro and the outro, but neither of them make it into my top-5 favorite ImA soundtracks.
My top-5 would definitely include these three:

• "Realm of Bees" (Naoki's theme music) - I love creepy/spooky music and I like how this soundtrack kind of imitates the sound of bees.
• "A way of living" (It's called that because this soundtrack is first played in Episode 17 when Jean explains her family problems to Kitti and says that it doesn't upset her and is just 'a way of living') - Not as spooky as Realm of Bees, but even more disturbing in my opinion. It kind of gives a feeling of an army of puppets or robots. And the way it contrasts with Jean's (probably fake) cheerful face is just scary O.o. I also like how the soundtrack sort of comes back in similar moments with other characters.
• "Always remember" - I like both the cute lullaby-ish version when Chance meets Mana-chan and the orchestra version that plays later on in one of his moments with Kitti (I don't remember which).

There's another of Chance's soundtracks that I really really like, but I forgot what it's called D: . It was the one that played before he met Mana, when he was little and lonely and trying in vain to get attention from his parents.

I have at least 5 different theories about what Mana-chan actually is, and I really want to post them now c:

I really liked "Always Remember" - especially the lullaby-ish version. I've seen a couple fans refer to the orchestral version as "Never Forget", since both names mean the same thing. idk, maybe it helps distinguish the two? They seem pretty popular.

Another one of my favourites is the instrumental that played during... Ep 11, I think. The one with the epic violin (cello? I'm not sure) and piano. Totally awesome.

Well, here goes then!

My many possible theories about Mana-chan:
1. She is simply an imaginary friend who does not exist and was invented by Chance.
2. She is a sort of guardian angel who takes care of him because his parents don't.
3. She is Chance's older sister, who his parents neglected so much that she became forgotten and turned invisible (and stopped aging). Chance can see her because he was neglected and almost forgotten, but he didn't fade away, because he made friends (first Mana, then Naoki and then Kitti).
4. She is a bastard child of John Birdwell and some other woman. Most people cannot see her because she was not "meant" to exist.
5. She is the ghost of a girl who died in Chance's house (either related to him or to the previous owners of his house).
6. She is a "wish come true": Chance wished for a friend, so he got one (maybe he has a fairy godmother who created her for him?).
7. She is an existing person. All the other characters are actually the "imaginary friends", because they are anime characters. Mana is the only one who is real (maybe the author of the anime?).

I think it's funny when Chance makes all these dresses for Mana-chan and then his parents think he's cross-dressing. I could actually quite easily imagine him cross-dressing…
