how important do you think the first page of a comic is? is the first impression of your comic very important to you, or do you think you will easily be able to change the minds of the readers?
Ah-haha, yes I think the first page is fairly important. In my opinion, its the best place to put a hook in or a sense of foreshadowing to get readers' attentions C: I think I missed out on that with my comic llD Encoded has a pretty bland start, so eh, I think I messed that up. But I guess when I write--even with comics--my mindset is pretty directed in a way not to far off from that of an novelist; so basically when I write, I've always written in a novel 'introduction-to-rising action-to-climax-etc...' format so my beginnings typically reveal the main character, setting, some personalities (though I normally characterize characters indirectly in comics and only usually in free writing), and things of that nature C: *shot for in-depth response*
ANYhow, welcome to the family Sauron; good to have you! :D
... I was ganna say more but I completely forgot while writing the stuff above llD Good job, Laura...
But yea, and I know how you feel, Sanae. I often get good ideas for the stuff I write outside of CS and just want to cram it all down on paper and build up to it, but that can be difficult llD
