Ok, so this is how it’ll go.
Characters with animal companions!
Not just any animal companions, however! Animal companions that carry their respective person’s soul!

The characters will live in a tribe in sort-of medieval times. The tribe will actually be multiple families, and would have “branches” of other families who had formed another tribe. There will be three tribes in total, and the characters in the RP could place in any of them.

The characters’ animal companion is chosen at birth, when their soul will be transferred to it. People believe that the animal companions are gifts from the gods, because they simply appear before the night their person is born, as if they were made from stardust. That is how they are distinguished from normal animals, too. Their fur, no matter the species, is always some kind of golden or wheat color, that sort of glimmers under sunlight and shines a little in the darkness. Important or powerful people would have animals with fur going towards a whiter color. Sometimes, this is used to determine prophecies and such.

The animals do display free will at times, but they cannot truly think for themselves; the person whose soul they carry influences their thoughts to such a degree that only their animalistic behavior and instincts are left. Nevertheless, unless the person gives a direct command, like ‘follow me’, their animal would go about doing... well, animal stuff.

A person whose soul had been transferred is only capable of speaking through their animal. Instead of their voice coming out of their human mouth, it’ll come out of the mouth of the animal.

And that’s about as much as I have rn, but I wanna develop this more... who’s in?

Oops, missed ya. You’re in! And yeah, haha, I guess it does sound a bit like the series. uwu;; I wasn’t really thinking of it when I wrote, but now that I look back on it, it does have some similar elements. I’ll try to move away from those while developing the RP furhter.
