I can make a banner, if you want. In fact, I've been planning on possibly making one.

Ummm.... let me think.... oh, I know! Archery! :P

Lolz. I dunno. Just something that looks cool, can be distinguished as an archery type club, and has either Y.A.C.S. on it, the full name, or both.

Ooh.. How about the letters Y.A.C.S. with an arrow going diagonally through them or something? I dunno, just a random idea XD

Hi, I have a small question, I really want to take up archery and was wondering what type of bow would be best to have for a beginner? I want to eventually own and use a long bow but do I need more experience to do so?

It really sort of depends. If you're hoping to get a longbow eventually, I think a recurve would be better than a compound because it's more similar. I don't think a longbow is really a good beginner bow though, otherwise I would just suggest you get one of those now. (However, I'm not sure as I've not really done a lot of work with longbows. Maybe google it?) Anyways, for a beginner the main thing you want to look for is a light poundage. That'll give you time to learn the correct stance and such without tiring you. When you're comfortable with that you can move up to heavier poundages and such if you'd like. I started with a 35 pound bow, but you may want to start a little bit lower than that. The best thing for you is if you have any kind of specialized archery shop and/or range, they'll be able to help you in person and you may be able to try out some of the bows they offer. Hope this is helpful. ^^
