or at least a movie with black widow or something but I'm getting off topic
Loki gets all the love, though he did have to compete with the winter soldier for tumblr's affections, but Loki seems to have won out again.
The Winter Soldier had no chance!
(did he?)
Honestly, I have no idea how people would've reacted to non-Hiddles Loki. Do you think he would've gotten any attention at all, if not for Tom?
And if he
had gotten the part as Thor, do you think all the fangirls would be swarming over to that brother, instead? Makes you wonder if people like a character for the character, or they like a character because of its actor.
Winter certainly had me! He's my favourite New character. And I liked his metal arm...

@Tea_Leaf: I think it's hard to discern the line the character's influence stops and the actor's influence starts. Loki's part would not have been so heartbreaking if it weren't for Tom's facial expressions and the range of emotions he is able to portray as an actor. Was that the actor bumping up the character or was that the character challenging the actor to do his best? Hard to say, I think.
I don't know if I would have liked Loki so much if it weren't for the flavor that Tom gave that character. But I know I wouldn't have liked Tom so much if it weren't for the character that revealed his acting talents to me.

omg I can't believe I hadn't found this before. I am a huge Hiddlestoner, he's just a too damn amazing actor and his face is beautiful.
Hey, welcome! Here's a gif to show you how awesome this dude is:

I know when I first watched Thor, I knew about his fangirls and everyone was going crazy over him. My first thought was 'He looks nice, but I don't quite get what all the fuss was about'. Then, I started watching him act, and I too was transforming into this sobbing fangirl. I was sold at the scene where he confront Odin about being on the throne, and that's when I just fell in love.
Just as Of the Falls said, his acting is what made everyone love him and Loki. Perhaps if he had played Thor, where there isn't as much emotional conflict, he wouldn't have this fanarmy he does today XD
Tea_Leaf, that gif is perf <3

Haha {or ehehehehehe} thank you! That gif is amazing. XD
EDIT; I didn't realize the gif didn't work until now, but I DID see it, just in case you're thinking that I'm just randomly laughing at a non-working gif. XD
