The rat that actually started my love for them was a rescue. In the UK, Pets at home stores have a few rescue rats- but "my" one wasn't really a rescue, he wasn't well socialized and had been born in store- no one wanted him so they put him in the rescue section. We clicked, but my mother hates rats and he was rehomed a few months later.

Sadly I don't support pets at home so can not rescue there animals. I don't agree with the pets they get as they come from a cruel place. They are right in saying they get there animals from a reliable source, they are reliable, in giving them animals but the animals come from a huge breeding like factory place.

You've just confirmed my worse supsicions . To be fair, I tend not to buy from them, but they're the only pet store for miles around that supply rats so I kind of need it to satify my adoration. It's a shame, because they put forward they love their animals. Still, off topic.

How old's Pablo?

Sorry, I didn't mean to. That is a shame, I am lucky as I have a few pet shops but I don't buy animals I'n them as I'm against the pet trade. Most of my pets are rescues :)

Pablo is 1 years old aproximstly. He was born at Bath Cats and Dogs home somewhen last year lol

It's better to know than fund a cruel cause.

If I ever persuade my mother to get me rats, I'd scan all the rescues in the area- and if I didn't have any luck I would probably get a rescue from pets at home. What you've just said about it shocked me deeply, but their rescues are genuine and I wouldn't want one to be denied a family just because the shop they're in is going for the wrong reasons.

That would be cool, and I guess pets at home rescue would be best as it's giving an animal a better life :)

I've always wanted to rescue, but it's never quite worked out. If you're me, going to see a litter of puppies to learn about selecting a dog isn't going to work out without a cheque being paid.

Lol, that's abit like me (except I'm not allowed another dog XD) but I tend to avoide it lol.

Pablo, he's feral lol. I just gave him a chocolate button and he didn't manage to bite my fingers but he tried lol xD
