Finally, it was that time of year again, the day Tiny had been waiting for yet dreaded. Halloween!
He was quite the scaredy-cat and such a spooky holiday was a bit much for him, so he never participated before. Only after a lot of convincing from his siblings and friends, he was going trick-or-treating for the very first time.
Tiny was upstairs attaching his fake claws as he finished putting on his Mothman costume, eager yet nervous to go outside. Ironically, he loved cryptids despite his timidness. As he grabbed his favorite Mothman plushie, slipped a glowstick around his neck, snagged his trick-or-treating bag and brought his flashlight he slowly came down the stairs where he was met by his brother
Toby's biggest cat, Raven. Toby had agreed to let her go with the small pup to keep him company as he explored the neighborhood.
"I- I'm ready! Let's, um, go..." He gulped as he grabbed the doorknob
"Took you long enough. Relax, you big furball, you'll be okay!" Raven playfully assured him as they padded out the door and down the street, into the dark and chilly night.
As they walked down the sidewalk surrounded by trees, Tiny flicked his ear in worry as he swore he heard a strange noise coming from the forest.
"Um, Raven, did you-" He widened his eyes in horror as the black feline wasn't by his side anymore.
"Raven? Raven??" He squeezed his plush and sped up his walking as he frantically looked in the looming shadows for her.
"BOO!"Raven jumped out from behind a tree right in front of Tiny, scaring the daylight out of him. He leaped back and shrieked in fear, his glasses falling off his snout and fumbling his stuff.
"AH! R- Raven!!" He scolded the cat as he frantically scooped up his dropped items, shivering.
"Gotcha! That gave you a good scare, didn't it? " Raven purred to herself as she helped him up. "Let's go to a house, now. We can't wander all night!"
After collecting himself, Tiny continued to follow Raven down the street as she led him in front of a house.
"This one looks
spooky! How about you give it a visit?" She nudged him towards the house, giving him a wide grin.
"But- but-" Before he could answer, the kitty pushed him up to the door and jumped up, pressing the doorbell for him before running off.
Terrified, Tiny quickly prepared himself and cleared his throat before nervously calling out:
"Um, trick-or-treat...!
