I'm super excited for August's Magikarp community day on the 8th! I want to catch a shiny... cause why not. But mainly it's because I need to evolve my Magikarp into a Gyarados for that research and I only have 132/400 candies.

I caught 8ish shiny Gastlies last community day... so fingers crossed!

Dont forget to use pine apps and get as much candy as you can.. mega evolutions are coming so who knows what they will require

I'm excited for finally maybe getting shiny magikarps! Even during the water events, I've never found a shiny.. 601 caught and 5 gyarados.. hoping maybe for a 4 star to mega evolve when the time comes

Oo new faces, welcome!
I'm personally excited for magikarp day - much to my friends' annoyance. I'm hoping to get a shiny magikarp for either my 400th caught or my 600th seen (caught 391, seen 588 right now). I think that'd be fantastic, but I wouldn't be surprised if it takes me a bit to get one on the 8th. For some reason, I haven't been as crazy lucky on community days as I used to be, but maybe magikarp will be my turning point! I'm optimistic~

Also for anyone who did GoFest: did you get anything good?
I got a 98% IV (15/15/14) shadow Mewtwo and a few shinies I didn't have (and 3 swablus.. as if I didn't have enough). I'm not purifying the Mewtwo, despite the temptation of a perfect being really tempting, though!

I believe they meant pinap which is a type of berry like razz berries and nanab berries! There's two different types: the regular, yellow pinap which doubles candy from the pokemon you catch with it, and the silver pinap, which doubles the candy as well as makes it a tad easier to catch the pokemon you use it on. The silver pinap doesn't make it as easy as a golden razz berry, but it does help a bit! Also, more candy for something you don't have enough for never hurts!

I just hatched a shiny illumise. I didn't even know its shiny form was released in pogo.

Has anyone noticed a issue with pogo? A couple friends sent me gifts but I can't get their page to load

I sometimes hate the quest that says you have to make new friends because legit no one plays Pokémon go anymore. I need friends so bad T~T

On another note I was able to catch so many porygons on community day and got like 5 shinies and was able to evolve and get both porygon2 and porygon-z twice so I gave one each to my bf

There are several different ways to find PoGo friends. Pokemon is such a huge franchise and there are so many Discord servers, webpages, forums all around the world, so I just search for random stuff on Google.
Although there are at least two websites specifically dedicated to just PoGo friend codes *haha*
