@s e v e n: There are fourteen. :) I've read them all so unfortunately I cannot discuss the deaths of the characters with you quite yet. D: And, wow. It took me like 4 months to finish the series... And yes, Brandon Sanderson took over when Robert Jordan died two years ago. He did it pretty well, but not nearly as good as Robert Jordan. He was really off on Mat's character; he made Mat a bit too funny and... eh. Oh and by the way, Mat turns out AMAZING by the end. So does Egwene <3 I didn't like Egwene at first but around the 10th and 11th book she became awesome. Pevara is my favorite though--you wouldn't know who she is right now in the series.
By the way, beware some major plot twists. And watch out for the endings of the fourth and sixth book--those are the two most important endings in the series and are some major turning points in the series. Other than the end of the very last book, of course. Actually, the ending of the 14th book was written by Rovert Jordan long ago, before he died, so that was nice.
Anyways, sorry for my hints and rambling there. It's just, like, my favorite book series ever.

Nickname (if any): If needed, you can just call me Snow.
Top Ten Favorite Books: Watership Down, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Hobbit, Lord Of the Rings... and all my Halo books which is a lot more then ten books. xD
Average amount of time it takes you to finish a book: If it's a really good book, three days or less. But with other normal books it takes around a week, give or take a few days.
How many of the above symptoms you regularly experience: Basically all of them, minus the bringing a book at lunch one.

Hi SnowStar, welcome to the club! I also like Watership Down and Lord of the Rings, glad to see someone else does too. :) Who's your favorite character in Watership Down? Mine's probably Bigwig or Hyzenthlay, though Hazel and Fiver are awesome too of course.

We have a wall-to-wall bookshelf in our living room, with five bookshelves. Part of it has my books that don't fit in my room, and lots of old books from when I was younger. We got it built a few years ago, and it's super great, I love it.

I'll have to read the Wheel of Time series, I keep hearing about it. I normally like fantasy, so it should be good. Could someone tell me the name of the first book?

Oh, I would have to say Bigwig or Fiver for my favorite characters. Strawberry too, gotta love him even if he isn't a main character. Watership Down is one of my favorite books that I have. The copy I have was given to me for free when a library was about to throw it away. Hardcover, yellowed pages but still in good condition. Mine was printed in 1972, and it's one of my oldest books that I have. Gotta love older books, they hold up so much better compared to the newer ones I get.

My newest book I'm reading is Jacob's Folly by Rebecca Miller. Has anyone read that book? So far it is about a man who dies and got reincarnated into a fly. Strange so far, but interesting. I just hope it isn't a "adult" book, if you know what I mean. Never read it before, so who knows. =/

That's cool, old books are awesome. My Dad gave me Watership Down for Christmas when I was in 4th grade, and I've read it three times over the years. It's a fairly new edition, but I like it. I have a few fairly old books. My mom gave me a copy of Ivanhoe that I think is from the early 1900s for my birthday. I still need to read it though.I also have two Nancy Drew books from the 1930s, which I love. All three of those books came from our library's used bookstore. They have a bunch of old books for some reason, and you can find neat stuff sometimes.

I've never heard of Jacob's Folly, it sounds interesting if a little weird.I hope it's good. Is the title a bibilical reference? It sounds like it might be.

Sounds a bit like it, but it's not, not that I'm aware of.
I'll scan through my bible to see if I can find anything later. The character's name is Jacob, but thats about it.

Interesting while reading through it, when he got turned into the fly it was 200 years after he died, and he's a bit in shock with the sight of cell phones and other things. Makes it a bit interesting. x3

@SnowStar Welcome! Also, The Scarlet Pimpernel! I haven't thought of that book in a while, but it's one of my many favorites.
Since there seem to several Whovians in this thread (love your signatures by the way), I'm hoping to get some input on the books. I have several questions: Has anyone read them? Are they good? Where can I find them? Is there a certain one you think I should start with? Are there any Nine books? Who are they typically written by?
