How does she have a cutie mark den o.0 I thought only ponies got cutie marks.

It might not even be a true 'cutie mark' or because Zebras and Horses are closely related?
Not sure.

Another theory could be that it is a "cutie mark" but a tribal thing. Like, Zebras need to actually earn a mark and not just get it once they realize what they are good at?

I think it's a cutiemark to be honest. If you notice on zecora toys,(Figure,brushable) the sun is one side. That's how cutiemarks work with the toys,just my hypothesis ^^
