I've learned not to judge Sherlock episodes until I've seen them a couple times and have had some time to digest everything that's going on, lol, but my first impression of the new episode was a good one. ^^ Finally we have an explanation for Mycroft's "I am not given to outbursts of brotherly compassion. You know what happened to the other one." bit from the end of "His Last Vow". That line had me curious!

so i saw the new episode when it aired and
am i the only person who wants a mini-short, like a 3 minute clip on valentine's day or something of
mycroft at a bar or fancy restaurant
with the woman who's name i can't remember but she gave mycroft her number at the end of the new episode
and he's just like
mycroft: '..'
mycroft: '...so what are people supposed to do at these...'
mycroft: '...'
mycroft: '...things'
ladyperson: 'well.. they talk. about themselves. about each other.'
mycroft: '.....why?'
ladyperson: 'to get to know each other better!?' *incredulous look that mycroft doesn't know how a date works*
mycroft: '....'
mycroft: '...'
mycroft: '....'
mycroft: *mutters under breath* 'humans are such stupid creatures'
mycroft: "Alright. let's get this over with.'

i was sitting, staring at the tv waiting until 10am so i could watch sherlock.

spoiler for season 4
so sherlocks sister working for moriarty? i had no idea that was coming. but i did have a feeling the woman on the bus was working for moriarty so i was kinda right?

also i have a theory. so sherrinford is supposedly the oldest holmes brother. which could still be true but seeing as ep 3 may be the last ever episode i don't think that's it. i was thinking that sherrinford is possibly some sort of asylum or jail maybe that euros was kept in or something. but that's a little far-fetched but idk.

but
how?! he doesn't have a mind palace to go to
and mary isn't anywhere nearby to jump in front of him
im betting its another lighter gun, like the cabby had in the first episode

who votes that we re-name sherlock season 4 to 'how much can we mentally and emotionally traumatize the crippled war veteran before he looses his mind and goes completely off the wall crazy part 4' ?

We did see the gun go off at the last second, though, so I don't think it was a fake. But she might not have actually been trying to kill John: it could have been a blank cartridge, or maybe she purposely missed or aimed the shot at his leg or someplace else that wouldn't kill him. Or maybe John reacted quickly and dodged the shot -- he is an ex-soldier, after all. I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Wow, that was an intense finale. I wonder if that was the end of series as a whole. It felt a bit like it judging by the way they ended it, but I suppose it could go either way.
