ohello.
I have finally found a cosplay topic...

I'm a bit now to cosplaying//cons. I got into it some time last year, and went to my first con last November. It was a smaller-scale con, but it was fun. c; and I met Brett Dalton I had a Star Lord cosplay for the con in Nov. I try to cosplay on a budget of as little as possible.. I finished my Star Lord (or should I say, Star Lady) cosplay and it ended up only being around 35 dollars, so I'm pretty happy. (and most of it I could re-use, like a red leather jacket)

and that started my addiction.
I'm from Canada, so I can't go to the main cons in the US, but I'm going to a bigger con in May though, so I'm super excited for that!
I'm almost done my Bucky // Winter Soldier cosplay. I'm so happy with it. All I have left to do is the mask. I've made the arm out of duct tape, and it actually looks pretty good! When I say duct tape I don't mean I just wrapped my arm in duct tape. Like, I made plating. It took something over three hours to make the arm.

i'm going to a con in may too, though it's down in florida.
i'm kind of nervous because it's my first big-ish one, but excited too.

does anyone here have experience styling wigs?

I hold onto a lot of my costumes, and some of my cosplay pieces have made their way into my normal wardrobe, like a skirt I used for a fem danny phantom cosplay, or my jack hoodie or my mabel pines sweater. my stuff for Five from dark matter was pretty much all from my normal wardrobe and stuff I wear anyway.

My local con isn't until June. But I don't know if I'm gonna get to go. So I might end up going to the one not in my city in october

it was cheap to make

even if other peoples arms will be better, I'm still happy with how mine turned out. xD
I just can hardly move my left arm, but it's worth the pain.
