Due to life complications, I shall be taking a hiatus from any involvement in the sima community. During this time, I will be very difficult to contact. You may send me a PM, but there is no guarantee of speedy reply, if any reply. I am unaware of how long I shall be gone from the community, or if I shall return at all.

Also, in light of recent staff changes, anyone who has received a custom from me that has yet to be fulfilled will need to divert this custom to any willing artist, as I no longer have the authority nor do I have the jurisdiction to make it. I ask that you be polite with your request to said artist, however, since they did not originally give the custom out. In addition to that, any non-judged adopts made by me will have to be veiwed and decided on by an unbiased, fair third party, as I no longer have the authority to do so. Yet again, be polite to this third party in your request for a final decision.

If you are down here, on this sentence, without skipping paragraphs, I apologize for you having to read that massive brick wall of pure, needlessly complicated sentences.
If you are down her because you skipped paragraphs, I will sum up that massive wall for you: "I'm leaving, it'll be hard to talk to me, I don't know when or if I'll return. Got a custom from me I haven't done yet? Have a different, willing artist do it. Unjudged contests? Get someone who isn't in the contest to judge it."

What do you think about the POSSIBILITY of Simas partially moving to DA? There would be a fair number of both sold and free adopts on each end - breedings would remain free for the most part as well

Regardless of whether or not there would still be freebies, I, like a coupe others can't agree to this. Now maybe because I'm one of the older sima members, It would take away from the original properties and feel of simas it's had for a long time. Also, Like mentioned above me, artists are people too, and many will favor paid simas rather than free ones, and though this is a bit assumptive on my part, I can easily see Simas transforming into something like your're typical D.A species. I also feel as though if we were to transition to D.A we would loose a lot of members in the process of doing so.

I definitely agree that simas as a whole has died down a bit, so perhaps instead of just moving to D.A, simply making adopts on D.A as-well and starting a page for them.

I'm personally a bit fine with it being on da partially, since it is your species and if it benefits you, i'd say go for it, do whatever you wish. That being said, there will still be free adopts and as long as simas aren't being used as trading cards, I think it's fine like that.

Though I don't exactly favor the idea since with the example of kiamaras, they did become rather hollow, instead of characters to develop [does not apply to all, some are still great!]. I'd say probably sell only a few once in a while, since many do not have access to cash, points, etc. Like many others, I think a group for them on da would be great! nvn

that is all for now, sorry for my terrible reply to this X)

I don't think this is a good idea.

If simas were to be sold, people wouldn't get them because they love the design and they wouldn't have to work to get them, they would just be able to buy them. They wouldn't be putting much thought into it. There could have been someone who really wanted it, but they can't have it because someone who isn't really bothered has it. It isn't really fair.
Also, some members of the community might not be able to get onto DeviantART.

To be honest, I just don't think it's necessary. We could have a group for art and that would help to build popularity but I don't think there should be adopts on DeviantART. It just makes things complicated where there's no need for it.

I not really sure on this idea, on one side this would try to help increase on the number of users who want to adopt a sima but on the other there might be a few problems that could occur.

Also I'm currently working on a site for all of my current simas, this would take a while but expect this to be done in the near future.

Edit: After looking at a few more comments on this I had to change my mind on the issue.

I just want to quickly respond to a couple of aspects of the above message.

Some people can't get on DeviantART. For some reason some computers just don't work with it. One of my friends has had this problem. Plus this community involves some young people who's parents may not allow them to make a DA account due to some of the content uploaded on it. It wouldn't be fair to rule them out.
And some people could already have the money and just get it on a whim. It doesn't take hard work. You just have to press a few buttons and there's money on your account. It's in situations like this where simas just end up unused.

-slides over here-
i think moving simas to dA would benefit, but also backfire at the same time?
there wouldnt be character development, you would just click the purchase button
and BAM new character who you haven't developed at all/ probably wont use
but it would benefit in the way that the community would grow larger, but some of the
CS members wouldn't stay? idk, your choice, you own them ;v;

The only thing I would say talking about the selling of simas. Sooner or later that habit will be broken and then we'll be like them. I've always liked simas they way they were handled just on the cs. I rarely ever go onto DA, so it would be har to be as active in the community. I just think that selling simas and partially moving to DA may result in some positive, but also I think the negative may out weigh the positive.

Hello everyone, this is Acid-tripp. I'm Water's younger sibling. She has since moved and forgotten about CS but is happy. Any activity on her account since around 2018 I believe has been me. I'm sorry for all of the people still active who wish to communicate with her but can't. I wish you all a great day/night and i'm sorry.

Well I've been thinking about this for a while... It would benefit the community very well as it's getting very quiet and not at all as active as it use to be and I feel DA would help this. No one can predict what will for sure happen bad or good, as I've seen people buy characters on DA and use them amazingly and this helps people who are bad at filling in forms and such. Though it's very possible people wouldn't care for the Simas they buy. I really don't know on this matter I personally don't like when species get moved to DA even partially, but if you choose to do so I would put full support behind it c: I still love Sima's and that wouldn't stop me from loving my babies any less!

Okay so on a high and amazingly happy note, I won my boy Axel Black the street boy! Ekk I love him so so much!!! <3 Ain't he just amazing! I'm way to excited... But I'm looking for a bunch of art for him and friends maybe as he's super picky on who he lets hang with him.

But on a sad note I need to find two of my Simas new homes as I feel im neglecting them, if I can't do this any more please tell me I read the rules but still wasn't sure if I need to ask someone.
